Pepper Farms
Kampot pepper is famous around the world, and like true Champagne, can only be grown in one region. Kampot Pepper is grown naturally following the essential principles of organic agriculture in soil building and conservation, pest management, and heritage-species preservation.
Pepper plantations can be found all over Kampot province. The most visited ones are near Phnom Voar which offer a particularly good look at the process of growing and preparing the pepper. Combine a visit of the pepper farm with a visit of the Phnom Chhngok caves. The pepper is available in green, red, black and white variations, all with different tastes and textures, and certainly cheaper than buying the imported stuff back at home.
