As you travel toward Ha Giang City, you’ll feel the rhythm of daily life shift. The roads narrow, the air cools, and the landscapes become increasingly rugged. Morning 

Your northern adventure begins at Ha Giang City, a quiet gateway town nestled at the foot of towering limestone ridges. After a hearty breakfast at your homestay, at 8:30, you’ll hop into your open-air jeep and set off into the wild - where winding mountain roads quickly replace the flat river valleys of the lowlands.

As you ascend the winding curves of Bac Sum Slope, the scenery transforms dramatically. Verdant hillsides, rice terraces, and distant villages appear in layers below you. Pause here for a scenic break, breathing in crisp mountain air while sipping a drink and taking in your first sweeping panoramic view of the highlands.

Continue your ride to Quan Ba Heaven Gate, a stunning viewpoint that marks the gateway to the Dong Van Karst Plateau. From here, marvel at the unique Twin Mountains (Fairy Bosom Hills), a geological wonder nestled in the green valley below.

Just a short drive away lies Nam Dam Village, home to the Dao ethnic minority whose traditions remain deeply rooted in everyday life. Here, you’ll spend around 2.5 hours and explore traditional clay houses, learn how the villagers maintain their unique customs.

Spend time with local artisans, savor a lunch of home-cooked specialties, and absorb the tranquil rhythm of rural life.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, the journey continues through winding mountain roads, offering breathtaking views of dramatic valleys, limestone peaks, and remote villages. These off-the-beaten-path routes are exclusive to guided trips and reveal hidden landscapes unknown to most travelers.

Stop at Lung Tam Village, where you'll visit a local Hmong family that specializes in traditional hemp weaving and natural dyeing. Gain insight into this intricate handicraft passed down through generations.

We ride onward to Yen Minh, passing the scenic Loop Top viewpoint overlooking a dramatic valley. We arrive in Yen Minh Town in the evening and settle into a warm and welcoming local homestay for the night.

Morning

After breakfast, we begin today’s scenic journey. Our riders will drive along the iconic Tham Ma Slope, known for its winding curves, often referred to as the “9-step road.” We will stop here to capture breathtaking photos of the dramatic landscape.

We then continue to Sung La Village, a charming centuries-old Hmong settlement nestled among the limestone mountains. This picturesque village is rich in history and was once the filming location for the famous Vietnamese movie Pao’s Story. You will learn about the local traditions, architecture, and cultural heritage.

Next, we ride to the Lung Cu Flag Pole, a symbolic site marking the northernmost point of Vietnam. From the observation platform, enjoy sweeping views across the border into China and admire the panoramic scenery of the highlands.

Before lunch, we visit Lo Lo Chai Village, home to the small but vibrant Lo Lo ethnic community. Their traditional clay houses and colorful clothing offer a glimpse into a unique way of life. We will enjoy a local lunch here.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, we continue to Dong Van Town, with a cultural stop at the Hmong King Palace, the former residence of the powerful Vuong family. The architecture blends Hmong, Chinese, and French influences, reflecting the complex history of the region.

We end the day in Dong Van, where you will check in at a local homestay and enjoy a delicious dinner featuring regional specialties.

Morning 

After breakfast, we leave Dong Van Town and begin one of the most spectacular stretches of the journey. Our team will take you along the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, part of the Happiness Road that connects Dong Van and Meo Vac.

Known as the "king of Vietnam's mountain passes," Ma Pi Leng is famed for its rugged cliffs and dramatic landscapes. The winding road climbs to an altitude of 2,000 meters and offers panoramic views of the vast limestone peaks.

To fully experience the grandeur of this region, we descend the breathtaking Sky Path, a narrow trail that reveals sweeping views of the Nho Que River valley below. This is the perfect place for unforgettable photographs. Standing on the peak of Ma Pi Leng Pass, you will feel the awe of nature's grandeur, surrounded by towering cliffs and winding rivers.

We then continue our journey through several remote villages, where you will witness daily life in Vietnam's highland communities. Along the way, we pass through Lung Ho, Mau Due, and Meo Vac, with a stop for lunch and refreshments.

From Meo Vac, we follow a winding mountain road through the scenic Ha Giang landscape to reach Du Gia Village. This peaceful village is home to seven different ethnic minority groups, all coexisting in vibrant cultural harmony. Traditional stilt houses, terraced fields, and friendly local life make Du Gia a truly authentic experience.

Evening

In the evening, we settle into a cozy homestay with a Tay minority family, where you will enjoy a home-cooked dinner and taste the region's traditional happy water in warm hospitality.

Morning

After breakfast, we’ll begin our day by exploring the hidden gem of Du Gia Waterfall. Following this refreshing experience, we’ll say goodbye to our lovely homestay hosts and set off on the final leg of our journey. Though it’s the last day, nature continues to impress with breathtaking scenery and winding mountain roads.

We’ll admire the untouched beauty of Duong Thuong Valley, and take in the panoramic views along Thai An Road. Then we’ll arrive back in Ha Giang City, wrapping up our adventure on a high note.

At 16:00, we’ll board a comfortable Limousine bus back to Hanoi, arriving around 22:00.
