3 day Ha Long Bay experience
by Tripadvisor

We organised with the brilliant Mia Nguyen at Best Price travel for a 3 day, 2 night tour with Orchid cruises on their nostalgia boat.
Mia’s help and organisation was brilliant. Due to the typhoon we had to change plans but she was helpful, friendly and organised throughout. We genuinely could not have asked for more from her.
The boat was clean, comfortable and with some absolutely brilliant staff. We are well, plenty of options and lots of food available.
The trips we took from the boat were even better than expected. An amazing experience.

The days in Ha Giang were long, but we never got bored because the scenery kept changing – valleys, rice terraces, limestone mountains. The homestay in Du Gia was simple, but the family cooked for us and made us feel at home. In Sapa, the trek was beautiful but muddy, so be prepared with good shoes. Overall, a real adventure, not just a holiday. Less
Great mix of adventure and culture. Trekking in Sapa was my favorite, but the Happy Water night in Du Gia was unforgettable.

It’s not luxury, some parts were tiring, and the sleeper bus was a bit rough but I wouldn’t change a thing. The mountain views in Ha Giang are unreal, and the villages felt like stepping into another world. I liked that it wasn’t rushed; we had time to stop for photos, rest, and talk with locals. The Fansipan climb at the end was harder than I thought, but reaching the top was worth it. Less
What a ride! I still can’t get over the Ma Pi Leng Pass, hands down the most incredible road I’ve ever been on. It felt like standing at the edge of the world.
