If the cancellation be announced by the Management Board of Halong Bay, depend on the timing of the cancellation, following policies will be applied:

At 08:00 - 08:30, you will be transferred from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter to Halong Bay for 2.5 hours (book in the next step with an additional fee). At roughly 11:30 - 11:45, you are welcomed at Vietstar Cruises Center, Tuan Chau International Port.
Upon arrival, the warm and professional staff will assist with check-in at the waiting lounge, ensuring a smooth and comfortable start to your adventure.
After that, a short transfer by tender boat takes you to the Lyra Grandeur, where your luxurious escape begins.
As you step aboard, the Cruise Manager and crew will greet you with a refreshing welcome drink and a briefing on the itinerary, safety regulations, and facilities.

The package included a complimentary airport transport, and even though I didn't remember to give Janet the arrival information until much later, she was able to make the necessary preparations and confirm the transfer details in less than an hour. Additionally, she granted our request to be dropped off near the Tay Ho area rather than the Old Quarter following the trip. Janet's prompt and excellent service is greatly appreciated!

However, the cuisine on the trip was not as nice as the surroundings; there weren't many selections, especially for kids, and some of the meals weren't very tasty. This was unfortunate because the ship was five stars, but the food was only three stars. The staff worked really hard, and the service was excellent. On the first night, we also experienced some noise above our room for many hours after 11 p.m., which was caused by a laptop that was connected to a speaker and playing music. When I brought this up to the staff the second night, they went up around 11 p.m. and turned off the music. They did say sorry and give us 2 water bottles as a gift to say sorry, this was very kind of them.

The food on the cruise was however not as good as the environment, it was limited options especially for children and some of the meals were not very pleasant.
