On the third day, as we drove towards Chau Doc, we were treated to spectacular views of verdant countryside and luscious rice terraces. Upon arriving, we went on an interesting excursion to Sam Mountain, where we saw old pagodas and panoramic views of the spreading delta. The excursion ended with a visit to a Cham minority village, where we learned about their rich cultural past and experienced local specialties.

While planning our 4-week trip in Vietnam, we came across bestpricetravel.com who organized a private 3 day cruise in Mekong for us. Spent 3 days and 2 nights on a small Sampan with a super dedicated crew and our lovely guide Ahn (huge thanks to her). The boat had all the comforts we needed, and just cruising along the river, soaking in the scenery and authenticity of local life, was honestly unforgettable. It’s not the cheapest experience, but totally worth it. Would definitely recommend BestPrice Travel and Song Xanh Cruise to anyone looking for something special in Vietnam.

This was our favorite experience throughout our 2.5-week vacation to Vietnam. The boat was an excellent opportunity to explore the Mekong, visiting both off-the-beaten-path and popular tourist destinations. We visited little villages, industrial sectors, local markets, and animals. It was sweltering, yet when we returned to the ship after our excursions, we were always greeted with a refreshing cool towel. The personnel went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, providing us with fresh cold water, air conditioning overnight, fans during the day, and great cuisine made on and off the boat. I did not want to go! Next time, I'd go on an even longer journey!

I cannot recommend this vacation more. We'd spent two weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia, and I was eager to see the actual Mekong Delta. Rather than visiting a tourist beach, this was the ideal way to end our trip. The guide and staff were exceptional. We enjoyed the leisurely meander along the tributaries and seeing how the people live on the water.
