FAQs

A Halong Bay cruise 2 nights is the best option to fully explore the bay for the following reasons:

  • Diverse attractions: The program includes 3-5 places to visit, from limestone caves to fishing villages, islands, and pearl farms.
  • Extra time: The 3D2N cruise takes around 48 hours with an extra day (compared to 2D1N) to explore further the bay.

The Halong Bay cruise 2-night average prices range from £161 to £161–£460 per person, based on cruise class and season. In case you prefer a private cruise, the 3-day trip may cost around £582–£1,042 per person.

Note: Shuttle transfers from Hanoi are usually £15–£25 extra per way, which is not included in the cruise package.

A typical 3-day, 2-night Halong Bay cruise package includes:

  • Accommodation in an ensuite cabin (with A/C and glass window/private balcony)
  • All meals onboard (2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, 1 brunch)
  • Welcome drinks upon check-in
  • Complimentary bottled water, tea & coffee in room
  • Guided excursions: cave visits, kayaking, beach time, floating village, or biking (depending on route)
  • Onboard activities: Tai Chi, cooking class, night squid fishing, sunset party, canapés, fitness, pool, mini golf, kids' club (depending on ship)
  • Wifi, HD LED TV onboard
  • English-speaking guide
  • Entrance fees & sightseeing tickets
  • Other signature services on first-class suites of 5-star cruises

Not included: Transportation from Hanoi, beverages, spa services, tips, and personal expenses. Always check your cruise details for exact inclusions.

The main differences between the 3D2N and 2D1N cruises are the duration and price range. If you want to spend more time in Halong Bay with more relaxing time and deeper exploration, a 2-night cruise will be the best option for you.

I'm looking to travel to Vietnam on 2nd November and I want to go on a 2 night Cruise. I see you offer airport collection. My flight from Hong Kong would land in Noi Bai International Airport at 8:45am. Is it possible to be collected and taken to the cruise at this time? I don’t know how long it will take to get out of the airport, but assuming it would be around 9:30am.

@James:

Hi! With your arrival time, it seems quite rush and risky to get to the habour on-time for your Halong Bay cruise as it cost you at least 2.5 hours to transfer from Noi Bai International Airport to the habour and usually cruises depart from 11.30am - 12.00pm. We suggest you should spend your first day in Hanoi and then have Halong cruise for the next day.

I hope this message finds you well. I'm currently exploring cruise options for a 3-day crusise for my family and had a few questions I was hoping you could assist with. We’ll be travelling with our 4-year-old child and wanted to ask:

• Does a child of that age pay full price, or are there any discounts or special rates available?

• Would it be possible for a 4-year-old to be accommodated in a standard 2-person cabin with parents?

• Would our child need to pay for the transfer to and from Hanoi?

• Could you recommend which of your cruises are particularly suitable for young children or offer family-friendly activities?

• Are there any cruises in your fleet that feature a swimming pool onboard? We’d really appreciate any details or suggestions you can provide as we plan our trip.
