The Heritage Line Anouvong Cruise offers 4 primary routes. The two 4-day itineraries take you on an up/downstream journey between Luang Prabang and Huay Xai, while the Huay Xai-Vientiane route offers an 8-day downstream and a 10-day upstream itinerary.

Guests have the opportunity to explore the lower cave, which is the most impressive and easily accessible. Additionally, you can join a kayak tour along the serene Nam Ou River or visit a village known for traditional silk weaving and Lao whisky distillation.

Join the Baci Ceremony

Visiting Khok Luang, guests can witness mountain farming practices, observe the collection and processing of agricultural products, and participate in a traditional Baci ceremony, which is a heartfelt Laotian ritual led by local elders.

Explore Elephant Sanctuary, Pakbeng

On the 3rd day of the cruise, you can visit an elephant sanctuary nestled in the jungle. You have the privilege of encountering these majestic creatures, learning about their unique stories, and contributing to ecotourism and sustainability projects.

The 8-day itinerary offers an extended version of the 4-day itinerary, encompassing additional attractions as you journey from Luang Prabang to Vientiane. This extended itinerary allows for more time to experience the remarkable destinations. 

Admire Kuangxi Waterfalls

Visitors to this waterfall can enjoy a range of activities: swimming in the cool waters or hiking to different levels of the waterfall, which allows visitors to explore the area and enjoy panoramic views.

Explore Don Saynhan

Once reaching Don Saynhan, we are going to explore the surrounding area, taking a local “Tuk Tuk” inland to visit the ‘Khao Cave’. Traveling through lush jungle-like surroundings, the cave, home to a longstanding bat population, serves as a crucial fertilizer source for the village. Stroll inside to witness stalagmites and stalactites.

See the Xayaburi Hydroelectric Dam

On the 5th day, you will explore one of the largest hydroelectric dams in Southeast Asia and generate electricity for both domestic use and export.

This is an expansion upon the 4-day version and introduces a wealth of additional attractions as you travel from Vientiane to Huay Xai. This extended itinerary grants you ample time to delve deeper into each remarkable destination.
