Morning
11:30 - 12:00: Our journey begins as we arrive at Ninh Kieu pier in Can Tho. Afterward, embark on the Bassac Cruise and enjoy your refreshing welcome drink.
Then, we listen to an introduction to the ship and crew, and check into the cabins. The cruise ship departed downstream of the Hau River. Lunch on board while en route.
Afternoon
The ship sails through the Nicolai canal, towards the Co Chien and Mang Thit rivers. At this time, you can enjoy the view of rice fields, sugar cane, and the woods around.
Verdant riverside of the Mang Thit River
In the middle of the afternoon, the Bassac cruise will anchor at the shore for an excursion. We start to discover the daily life of Delta’s rural area through tree lines, stretching rice fields, fruit farms, and friendly locals here.
Or else, you can try a cycling tour around the countryside.
Afterward, we come back to the ship and take a break on the deck. Find your seat around the bar and savor the breathtaking sunset.
Evening
After an active day, our crew will prepare your dinner on the Mang Thit River. Then it's your free time to unwind on board, spending a relaxing night on the Bassac Cruise.

Okay cruise. The first afternoon, we went ashore to explore a village, which was not enjoyable because it was only a walk. The next morning, after breakfast, you leave your cabin and board a smaller boat that takes you up to the floating market, which was interesting to see but much smaller than it used to be, we were told.
We enjoyed learning about living on the Mekong Delta, and the view was stunning. One night was enough to get a sense of the region.

We had been informed that the cabins were quite small, so we were grateful that we had simply packed some overnight items in a small bag and didn't have to unpack our suitcases.
While the rooms were small, they provided everything we needed, including air conditioning, which we didn't anticipate on a wooden boat, and a little bathroom with a handheld shower.
