The first afternoon, we went ashore to explore a village, which was not enjoyable because it was only a walk. The next morning, after breakfast, you leave your cabin and board a smaller boat that takes you up to the floating market, which was interesting to see but much smaller than it used to be, we were told.
We enjoyed learning about living on the Mekong Delta, and the view was stunning. One night was enough to get a sense of the region. Less
We had been informed that the cabins were quite small, so we were grateful that we had simply packed some overnight items in a small bag and didn't have to unpack our suitcases.
While the rooms were small, they provided everything we needed, including air conditioning, which we didn't anticipate on a wooden boat, and a little bathroom with a handheld shower.
We took a one-night boat on the Mekong River as part of a trip to Vietnam. It was well-organized and fun. I believe there were around 12 cabins on board, so we got to meet the other passengers on the boat, which is always fun. The meal was delicious. Service is nice, too.
