Morning – Visit the Market & Cooking Course

Your experience begins with a guided visit to the bustling Hoi An local market, where you will discover a wide variety of exotic products, learn how they are used in Vietnamese cooking, and understand their therapeutic values in daily life.

From here, enjoy a 40-minute boat ride along the picturesque Thu Bon River, heading toward a charming village in the delta. Under the shade of coconut trees, you will join an outdoor cooking class where traditional techniques are demonstrated using age-old tools for preparing rice after harvest.

During the class, you will learn how to make your own rice paper and prepare four traditional Vietnamese dishes: marinated pork skewers, banh xeo (Vietnamese savory pancakes), papaya salad, and Vietnamese-style fish.

NOTE: A vegetarian menu can also be arranged upon request. Dishes may vary by season.

Afterward, sit down and enjoy the delicious dishes you have cooked yourself.

Afternoon – Cycling & Countryside Discovery

Following lunch, set off on a leisurely bicycle ride, crossing from island to island as you make your way back toward Hoi An. Along the journey, you will stop at different family homes and workshops to gain a deeper insight into rural life.

Learn how rice alcohol is distilled, see how traditional basket boats are crafted and even try paddling one yourself, and watch as beautiful hand-woven mats—used for mattresses—are made by skilled artisans.
