Gecko Eyes Cruise 3 days: Saigon - Phnom Penh (Speedboat)

Morning

08:00 - 08:30: Pick-up at your hotel in central Saigon (District 1 and parts of District 3, for guests using the transfer service). Sit back and enjoy as the scenery changes to the lush waterways of the Mekong Delta.

11:30: Arrival at the pier and embarkation of the Gecko Eyes Cruise. After a warm welcome from the crew, check into your cabin and take a little time to explore the ship’s facilities and relax on the deck.

Settle in for a panoramic cruise as the boat glides through the broad Mekong channels and shaded canals. A freshly prepared lunch is served on board, allowing you to taste local specialties while watching the vibrant daily life of the delta unfold.

Afternoon & Evening

In the afternoon, we disembark for a guided land excursion. Take a leisurely walk through peaceful orchards and small riverside villages. You’ll pass fruit gardens heavy with mangos, rambutan, and star apples, etc.

Later, return to the boat and refresh. The sundeck is the perfect place to unwind with a drink in hand as the sun sets over the Mekong, painting the river in hues of gold and crimson.

Enjoy a delightful dinner on board, featuring regional flavors and fresh ingredients. Spend the evening in comfort, lulled to sleep by the gentle rhythm of the river.

In the morning, we will enjoy a light breakfast on board. At 8:00, we will check out of the cabins.

Travelers take part in a journey to the bustling Cai Rang floating market, join the vibrant atmosphere with vibrant colors, lively exchanges, and immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Mekong Delta culture.

11:00: Travel towards Chau Doc. A simple but tasty lunch will be provided en route. Enjoy the ride through landscapes of rice fields, lotus ponds, and small delta towns.

Arrive in Chau Doc and check into your hotel at around 15:30. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Evening 

Enjoy your evening in Chau Doc at your leisure. Visitors are free to explore some of the city's renowned attractions, such as 30th April Park or the bustling Chau Doc night market.

At 7:00, our group embarked on a speedboat and sailed to Phnom Penh. After immigration procedures, the ship headed to Phnom Penh Port. 

Arrival at Sisowath International Quay, Phnom Penh, around 13:00 & 13:30. ( The arrival time may vary depending on current conditions and immigration formalities).

Transfer to the hotel in Phnom Penh by shuttle bus.

Afternoon

07:30 - 08:00: Your journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel in central Saigon (District 1 and parts of District 3 for guests using the transfer service). Leaving behind the city’s bustling streets, you’ll travel into the heart of the Mekong Delta.

11:30: Arrive at the pier and step aboard your cruise vessel. After a warm welcome from the crew, check into your cabin and take a little time to settle in. 

The cruise sets off on its first stretch along the Mekong. Sit down to a freshly prepared lunch on board. This is the perfect introduction to delta life, slow, scenic, and filled with authentic charm.

Afternoon & Evening

We disembark for a guided excursion into the countryside. Meander through fertile orchards, villages shaded by palm trees, and small paths where local farmers tend their gardens. This gentle walk offers a glimpse into rural Vietnam, far removed from the pace of the city.

Back on board, refresh yourself and head to the sundeck to admire the sunset casting golden reflections across the river. The calm of the evening is best enjoyed with a cool drink in hand.

A delicious dinner is served on board, featuring regional specialties prepared by the chef. Enjoy the meal in a cozy dining setting as the boat drifts along quietly. Overnight on board.

Begin the morning with a relaxing cruise as the boat glides through the calm waters of the Mekong. Enjoy a tea or coffee break on deck while taking in the sights of early river life.

We will join an excursion on a rowing sampan through narrow canals, shaded by lush nipa palms. Stop at a family workshop in Tan Phong Islet to see handmade traditional products, and enjoy a soulful performance of “Đờn ca tài tử”, the UNESCO-recognized folk music of southern Vietnam.

For those who wish to explore further, there’s the option of a gentle bicycle ride along backroads or a walk through small riverside villages, offering a close-up look at daily life in the delta.

11:00: Rejoin the group for a road transfer by shuttle bus towards Chau Doc. A simple yet tasty lunch will be provided en route, giving you a chance to rest and refresh during the journey.

Afternoon & Evening

15:30: Arrive in Chau Doc and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is left at your leisure.

Spend the evening at your own pace. You might wish to try local dishes in town, take in the sunset views by the river, or enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Overnight in Chau Doc.

Morning & Afternoon

Around 7:00, we embarked on a small boat journey to Phnom Penh. After completing immigration procedures, we continued our voyage to Phnom Penh Port. 

We arrived at Sisowath International Quay, Phnom Penh, around 13:00 - 13:30. (Please note that arrival time may change depending on current conditions and immigration formalities).

Transfer to the hotel in Phnom Penh by shuttle bus. Trip ends
