Morning

After enjoying the new day with breakfast onboard, we'll move to the sampans and travel through a channel line and mangroves for a day of exploration.

When reaching the land, we'll try one of the most popular local transportation named “xe lam” (three-wheeler) to visit a local coconut candy workshop. Coming here, you will witness the process of making coconut candy and learn how to make them. You also can taste some and buy them if you want.

After that, we will walk through the village to admire different kinds of Vietnamese fruits and taste sweet fruits in the orchard.

We get back to the pier and board a small boat trip to sail through the narrow creeks lined with Nipah Palm. A short glimpse of the charming Mekong Delta will open. After that, lunch will be ready at the Dining Hall as soon as we are back on board.

Afternoon

The cruise continues its journey through the Mekong Delta and stops at Hoang Dieu Habor, next to Can Tho City.

Guests will take a short and oriented city tour, visiting the Zihuang Pagoda (Chua Ong) and enjoying the welcome unicorn dance. This place creates a diverse cultural environment and draws visitors from all over the world, in addition to some breathtaking natural sights.

Afterward, you will have spare time for yourself. Getting on a walk to explore the charming city before coming back to the ship is a great idea.

Day 3Can Tho - Hoa An Village

Morning

As the sun rises over the Mekong Delta, set out by sampan toward Cai Rang floating market. Watch local vendors trade fresh produce and everyday goods from their boats, with goods displayed on tall bamboo poles to show what each boat has for sale.

Along the way, enjoy refreshing coconut water and sample fresh tropical fruits as the Delta awakens around you. Continue to a family-run noodle workshop to see how traditional rice noodles are made by hand. The morning ends with a visit to a local wet market, offering a glimpse into the daily life of the Mekong Delta.

Afternoon

After lunch, continue by sampan past local rice mills, where grain is processed before being distributed across the region. Visit a family workshop to see traditional conical hats being made by hand, then continue by sampan to the peaceful village of Hoa An.

On land, board a local xe loi (motorcart) and travel through quiet country lanes, passing fields and orchards. Enjoy a leisurely walk along village paths surrounded by fruit trees and rice paddies before continuing your journey.

On the way back to Phnom Penh, we will make a quick stop at Tuol Sleng, which the Khmer Rouge had transformed from a sizable school into a prison and center for torture.

Brilliant Best Price Travel and trip on the RV Mekong Princess Cruise

We had an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience and would strongly suggest the RV Mekong Princess if you are considering traveling the Mekong. The boat, the crew, the meals on board, and the cultural trips were all excellent. We are experienced travelers and cannot recommend this vacation strongly enough. Janet Tran from Best Price Travel was fantastic to do business with, confirming all of the arrangements, and her communication was superb. I would strongly recommend them as a booking agent.

Everything was first-class. The ship, the route, the weather, the personnel, and the people—everyone got along great. I've been on numerous cruises previously, but this one will stand out.

Great experience, 10/10

Anna at BestPrice Travel was really helpful and speedy in scheduling my river vacation on the Mekong Princess. It was an absolutely fantastic trip at an incredible value, and Anna was kind, polite, and incredibly attentive. She answered all of my inquiries quickly. She also arranged for me to stay in hotels that were both comfortable and conveniently located: within walking distance of fantastic restaurants and markets, as well as in the heart of highly fascinating cities! I would strongly suggest her! This has been one of my favorite travel experiences, both working with Anna and throughout the trip.

Cruising down the Mekong was a very pleasant and soothing experience

I spent eight days and seven nights doing the Mekong Princess Four. The room on the river cruise was lovely; it had a good-sized bathroom with teak finishes, however it lacked a closet. One of the tour's highlights was the amazing meals. The guide was very nice and funny. Another highlight of the trip was cruising along the Mekong and sipping happy hour drinks while watching the sunset.
The excursions off the boat were relaxed and enjoyable, with local hikes, a visit to the floating market, and a few off-the-beaten-path stops. The cross-border excursion to Phnom Penh was equally hassle-free; we had to stop in Vietnam and then in Cambodia to receive the visa, and the guide who accompanied us accepted our passports and visa fees and handled everything for us without issue.
Thank you to Mia Nguyen from bestpricetravel.com for her assistance with all of the challenges and worries.
