Family Adventure in Hanoi Outskirt & Ba Vi Eco Escape 3 days

First in the morning, you will meet your guide in the lobby and climb into an open‑air Vietnam Army Jeep. Soon you roll away from Hanoi’s busy streets, crossing the Red River by a bridge. Along the way, you will have an opportunity to watch small villages, green vegetable plots, and water buffalo in the fields.

Next, you will pause at a riverside hamlet. Here, you can greet local farmers, learn how they plant rice and herbs, and see how new factories are changing daily life.

After that, you will continue to Bat Trang, Vietnam’s most famous pottery village. You can have a stroll via tiny brick alleys, past kilns that have fired clay for nearly 1,000 years. Then the highlight of the day is that you will step into a family workshop: watch potters spin their wheels and, with their help, shape and paint your own small bowl or cup.

Finally, it is time to sit back in a local restaurant and taste a healthy lunch of local dishes and drinks.

When lunch is finished, you will be driven back to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to rest or explore the Old Quarter alone.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, your driver will pick you up for a scenic journey out of the city to Ba Vi.

Along the way, take in sweeping views of mountains, rice fields, and tranquil village life. Upon arrival, breathe in the fresh mountain air as your guide leads you through the peaceful natural surroundings.

For lunch, you will have a tasty Vietnamese meal made with locally sourced ingredients. The staff will serve your food in a cozy dining area with a lovely view of the surrounding nature.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, your family can choose how to spend your time - perhaps relaxing in nature, or exploring the area at your own pace. Later, you’ll begin your return journey to Hanoi, arriving in the early evening.

After breakfast, depart from Hanoi and journey to Bac Ninh, a province renowned for preserving Vietnam’s traditional arts and crafts. Your first experience of the day is set in the peaceful villages where generations of artisans continue their ancestral legacy.

• Shaping clay at Phu Lang Pottery Village, where skilled hands have molded earth into art for centuries. You’ll be guided to form your own ceramic piece, using age-old techniques passed down through time.
• Creating your own Dong Ho painting, a hallmark of Vietnamese folk culture. Using natural dyes and hand-carved woodblocks, you’ll print iconic symbols representing luck, peace, and prosperity.
• Learning the delicate process of making Do paper, a traditional handmade paper once used in royal decrees and calligraphy. You’ll discover how bark from the Do tree is transformed into smooth, resilient sheets through meticulous steps.
