Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll be met by our guide at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and transferred to your hotel.

After check-in, the rest of the day is yours. You might prefer to relax after the flight and settle in, or head out for a first look around the city and soak up the lively atmosphere.

Morning

Around 08:00, meet your guide in the hotel lobby and transfer to the pier, where your luxury speedboat will be waiting.

Set off at 08:15, leaving the busy city behind as you cruise towards the greener waterways of the Mekong Delta. A light breakfast is served on board as the scenery changes from urban skyline to peaceful river life.

Your first stop is Tuong Van Pagoda, where you’ll learn a little about the role of Buddhism in everyday life across southern Vietnam.

From there, continue to a lively riverside market filled with local produce and regional goods. It’s a great chance to see the pace of local life, sample tropical fruit, and have a browse.

As the journey continues, pass fruit orchards, rice paddies and quiet canals lined with palms and greenery. In the Thu Thua area, the narrow waterways offer a slower, more peaceful side of the Delta. 

Next, depending on the route, we will have two options to choose from to experience authentic village life:

• Option 1: We will visit a traditional riverside house and get a chance to see giant Burmese pythons kept as pets. We go to nearby paddies and stop at a farmhouse to savor fresh coconuts and sample distinctive Mekong whisky.
• Option 2: We will take a trip to a local merchant and taste a wide range of products, including Mekong whisky and wine. We walk along the riverbanks to a rural Vietnamese home, explore the village, and enjoy coconuts freshly picked from the trees. On the way, there are many chances to learn some interesting insights about the Mekong Delta people's lives.

NOTE: Tours are flexible, so the guide may combine parts from both routes.

At around 12:30, sit down to a traditional lunch featuring local Mekong flavours.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, visit a Buddhist-run orphanage for a meaningful look at the local community. You’ll then continue to the Cao Dai Temple, a standout and sophisticated religious structure blending various symbols and saints from inside to outside.

NOTE: Remember that the temple is usually closed to visitors, so you can only see it from the outside.

Around 14:30, board the speedboat for the return trip to Ho Chi Minh City. Sit back and enjoy the river views on the way back.

Arrive at the pier around 16:00, then transfer to your hotel.

After breakfast, head out on a city tour by vintage Jeep — a fun and comfortable way to see Ho Chi Minh City’s key sights.

Your first stop is the Reunification Palace, an important landmark tied to modern Vietnam’s history.

Continue to the Central Post Office, a striking colonial-era building, and nearby Notre-Dame Cathedral, one of the city’s best-known icons.

Next, visit the War Remnants Museum, where exhibits provide insight into Vietnam’s wartime history.

You’ll then stop at the Emperor Jade Pagoda, a peaceful and atmospheric temple known for its ornate design and spiritual significance.

As the tour continues, pass the site of the former U.S. Embassy, along with elegant city landmarks such as the Saigon Opera House, Dong Khoi Street, and Nguyen Hue Walking Street.

The final major stop is Ben Thanh Market, a lively local market where you’ll find everything from produce and snacks to souvenirs and handicrafts.

After the tour, return to your hotel and later transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel to settle in for the next part of your journey.

Morning 

On the morning of Day 4, at 08:00, you will be collected from your hotel in the Old Quarter. The schedule starts with a visit to the Temple of Literature (Quoc Tu Giam), the first university in Vietnam, originally a school for princes and royal descendants, but later transformed into an institution for high-achieving commoners.

Next, we will visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a symbolic landmark for Hanoians. As you approach the pagoda, you will get a sense of the deep historical connection it holds for the people of the city. The quiet surroundings combined with the pagoda’s one-of-a-kind design will transport you to a bygone era, invoking gratitude for those who shaped this remarkable land.

NOTE: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museums are closed on Mondays & Fridays and from Jun - Aug. You can only take photographs from the outside.

Now, it is time for lunch. Let’s relish a tasty meal at a restaurant serving traditional Vietnamese cuisine. We hope it meets your taste!

Afternoon

This afternoon, we will come to see the Museum of Ethnology, a special museum dedicated to Vietnam's 54 officially recognized ethnic groups. While here, you will have the chance to view a vast array of artifacts, films, and photographs. 

These exhibits offer a glimpse into the daily lives, customs, clothing, and agricultural practices of various ethnic minorities across the country, deepening your understanding of Vietnam's cultural diversity. 

After an enriching day of discovery, we will come back to the Old Quarter. You will say goodbye to our guide and we will drop you off at your hotel. 

Morning

Your day starts with pick-up from your hotel in the Old Quarter between 08:00 - 08:30.

Travel by road to Halong Bay via the expressway, with a comfortable drive through the countryside to the port.

On arrival, board your luxury cruise and settle in with a welcome drink. The cruise manager will then run through the itinerary and safety briefing before departure.

Once underway, enjoy lunch on board as the boat cruises past Halong Bay’s limestone karsts and island scenery.

Afternoon

After lunch, the afternoon is yours to enjoy. You might like to book a spa treatment, relax on deck, or join the scheduled excursion to a cave in Halong Bay.

You will be able to marvel at the bay's mysterious natural landscape and take in the breathtaking views, adorned with incredible stalagmites and stalactites.

NOTE: To ensure availability, it is recommended that you make a reservation with the cruise manager in advance.

Evening

As the sun goes down, many cruises offer a Vietnamese cooking demonstration, where you can learn a few local dishes or simple carving techniques.

Dinner is served on board, followed by free time for the rest of the evening.

You might like to try squid fishing, enjoy a drink at the bar, play board games, or simply relax and take in the peaceful setting of the bay at night.

Morning

Start the day early with sunrise views over Halong Bay from the top deck, followed by an optional Tai Chi session.

If you’d rather take things slow, you can simply enjoy a relaxed morning and light breakfast on board.

Later, continue cruising through the bay and enjoy lunch in the restaurant, depending on your cruise schedule.

Afternoon

This afternoon, continue exploring Halong Bay with a visit to a floating fishing village or seafood farming area.

It’s a good chance to learn a bit more about local life on the water and the traditions of families who have lived here for generations.

Later in the day, head back on board and enjoy some downtime. You might like to grab a drink at the sky bar or pool bar, take a swim, or book a massage for a bit of extra relaxation.

Evening

As night falls, enjoy another peaceful evening on the bay.

Depending on the cruise, there may be onboard activities such as games, karaoke, or lounge entertainment. Or you can simply unwind on deck and enjoy the atmosphere.

Start the day early, with a final chance to enjoy sunrise over Halong Bay.

You may like to join an optional Tai Chi session on deck, or simply relax and take in the views with a tea or coffee.

A light breakfast will be served on board before the morning excursion to the final stop on your cruise itinerary.

After returning to the boat, freshen up and complete check-out as the cruise makes its way back towards the port. Brunch is served on board during the return journey, giving you one last chance to enjoy the scenery of the bay. 

Afternoon

Around midday, disembark at the port and transfer back to Hanoi for your onward flight to Siem Reap.

On arrival in Siem Reap, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel.

The rest of the day is yours to settle in, relax, and recharge before the next stage of your trip.

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to Angkor Thom, the former royal city of the Khmer Empire.

Enter through the impressive South Gate, famous for its large stone faces and grand entrance causeway.

Continue to Bayon Temple, known for its many carved smiling faces and detailed stone reliefs that reflect the rich history of the Khmer civilisation.

You’ll also visit the Terrace of the Elephants, once used for royal ceremonies, and the nearby Terrace of the Leper King, noted for its intricate carvings.

Next, head to Ta Prohm, one of the most atmospheric temples in the Angkor complex. Here, giant tree roots wind through the old stone ruins, creating a striking mix of nature and history.

Afternoon

This afternoon, continue to the world-famous Angkor Wat, the best-known temple in Cambodia and a masterpiece of classical Khmer design.

Built in the 12th century, Angkor Wat is celebrated for its scale, symmetry, and remarkable stone carvings. As you explore the galleries and courtyards, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the artistry and history behind this iconic site.

After the visit, return to your hotel and enjoy a well-earned rest.

Today is yours to enjoy Siem Reap at your own pace.

You might like to relax at the hotel, head into town for a wander, browse local markets, or spend some time at a café before the evening’s plans.
