Morning
After breakfast, embark on an unforgettable full-day journey through the majestic Angkor Archaeological Park, a vast complex that stands as the spiritual and historical heart of Cambodia.
Your exploration begins at Angkor Thom, the ancient walled capital of the Khmer Empire dating back to the 12th century. You’ll enter through the imposing South Gate, where a dramatic stone causeway is flanked by towering figures reenacting the Hindu myth of the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, a powerful symbol of balance and renewal.
Within the city walls, delve into the mysterious beauty of the Bayon Temple, known for its 54 towers adorned with more than 200 serene and smiling stone faces of Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Continue your journey through history as you visit the Phimeanakas Temple and the Royal Enclosure, once the private domain of Khmer kings.
Then, admire the intricate carvings and symbolic meaning of the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, each offering a deeper glimpse into the artistic and ceremonial life of the empire.
Afternoon
After a morning filled with discovery, take a break for lunch, followed by a short rest before continuing to the afternoon’s highlight — Angkor Wat, Cambodia’s most iconic temple and the largest religious monument in the world.
This awe-inspiring 12th-century masterpiece stretches across 81 hectares and represents the pinnacle of classical Khmer architecture. Surrounded by a massive moat and crowned with five lotus-like towers symbolizing Mount Meru, the mythical home of the gods, Angkor Wat is a stunning blend of spiritual symbolism, architectural precision, and artistic grandeur.
As you walk through its intricately carved galleries and sandstone corridors, you’ll witness detailed bas-reliefs depicting epic scenes from Hindu mythology and Khmer history.
Following this profound cultural and spiritual experience, you’ll return to your hotel in Siem Reap for a well-deserved evening of rest and reflection.

Hanoi, Vietnam:
Our guide Tung was outstanding—personable, engaging, and deeply knowledgeable. He took the time to explain Vietnam’s rich history and culture in a way that was both accessible and memorable. The food tour, led by Jenny Tran, was another highlight. Her warm personality and engaging storytelling elevated the experience. She shared fascinating insights into each dish and clearly had a great rapport with the vendors, which made the tour feel authentic and enjoyable.
Halong Bay:
This part of the trip was fantastic. Our guide kept the group engaged and active, with a strong knowledge of the area that added depth to the scenic cruise experience.
Hoi An:
Our guide in Hoi An was friendly and made an effort to ensure we enjoyed the tour. There were occasional challenges in communication, but she compensated with her attentiveness and connections with local artisans, especially during our visit to the silk-making vendor.
Ho Chi Minh City:
The guide in Ho Chi Minh was very informative, particularly when covering Vietnam’s historical events. He was sensitive in preparing us for some of the more emotional content at the museums, which I appreciated. His thoughtful approach added depth to our understanding, though I recognize it may not resonate the same way for everyone.
Siem Reap, Cambodia:
Our guide here was excellent—patient and insightful during the temple visits. He gave us time to absorb the history and was proactive in pointing out significant details, even offering to take photos that captured meaningful moments.
Thailand:
In Chiang Mai, my guide was warm and tried her best to share background information, though I felt she is still growing in experience. Nonetheless, she made the day pleasant and even shared lunch with me, which I appreciated.
In Bangkok, Su Ying was the highlight of my entire trip. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in making sure I had an amazing time. She encouraged me to wear a traditional outfit for temple photos—a unique and fun memory—and even helped coordinate a Thai massage when I mentioned back pain. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and attention to detail made the experience unforgettable. If I return to Bangkok, I would absolutely request her as my guide again.
Overall:
This trip exceeded my expectations thanks to the incredible local guides. Each brought something special to the experience, and I am especially grateful for their dedication, knowledge, and hospitality. Less

Vietnam. Hang Moon is very interactive and available during the trip. Their
guides and drivers are all excellent too. Their planned 3 week plus tour is
designed to visit and see the highlights of each country. During the initial
planning stages, we had discussions regarding hotel options, bus or boat
options, flight options and asked many questions. Hang Moon patiently
answered and discussed all, allowing us to customize the tour to our
satisfaction. It was a fabulous tour!
Thank you Hang Moon and BestPrice Travel for a wonderful vacation! Less

Michele and I were very happy we choose Best Price for this trip. A friend in Australia recommended you. It was exactly the kind of format where you meet a guide and do a one-on-one tour that we love best! We could ask any questions or discuss subjects easily , which you never get on large bus tours. Your tour is worth every cent! You have an absolutely wonderful country, the people, their friendliness, their love of talking to tourists, all the motor bikes and “real life” going on, the absolutely fantastic food. We really feel we have met your people and seen your country, and it was a memorable experience!
We will go to the links below and give you a great review!

Guides
Hanoi: Our guide was a gem—knowledgeable, engaging, and really added depth to our time there.
Hoi An: Interesting and enthusiastic, but communication was a bit of a challenge due to limited English skills.
Ho Chi Minh City: Easily one of the best guides we've ever had! A fantastic personality, fluent English, and an overall wonderful experience.
Siem Reap: Another standout guide. They were incredibly knowledgeable, polite, and genuinely caring, which made our visit extra special.
Thailand: Mixed experiences here. The first day’s guide struggled with English and didn’t offer much explanation, which was disappointing. In contrast, the guide on the second day was outstanding—knowledgeable, friendly, and truly memorable, rivaling the guide in Siem Reap as the best of the trip.
Accommodation
Hotel in Hanoi: Fair to good. It met basic expectations but wasn’t particularly remarkable.
Halong Bay Cruise: Absolute perfection! The cruise was a highlight, with excellent service and an unforgettable experience.
Hotel in Cambodia: Disappointingly fair—definitely not up to the standard we had hoped for.
Hotel in Hoi An: A good choice overall, though the shower was problematic. On a brighter note, breakfast was excellent!
Hotel in Thailand: This was the low point of our accommodations. The hotel was underwhelming, and the breakfast was particularly poor.
The trip had its share of incredible highlights, especially the Halong Bay Cruise and the exceptional guides in Ho Chi Minh City, Siem Reap, and Thailand (second day). While some accommodations didn’t live up to expectations, the warmth, knowledge, and personality of the best guides made the journey truly unforgettable. Less
