Start your day with breakfast at your hotel in Phnom Penh, then prepare for your journey to Luang Prabang. Since there are no direct flights between Phnom Penh and Luang Prabang, your route will include a transit in Bangkok.

Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will go through the transit process. Then you’ll catch your connecting flight to Luang Prabang.

After landing at Luang Prabang International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in the city center to check in. You may have the evening free to enjoy a relaxed dinner along the Mekong River or explore the vibrant Luang Prabang night market on your own.

After breakfast, your day begins with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, originally built in 1904 during the French colonial era for King Sisavang Vong and his family. This beautifully preserved site offers a fascinating glimpse into Laos' royal heritage.

Next, embark on a leisurely cruise upstream on the Mekong River, taking in breathtaking views of the peaceful countryside. Your destination is the sacred Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves filled with thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes, placed there by pilgrims over many centuries.

En route, stop at the riverside village of Ban Xanghai, known for its traditional Lao rice wine production. Learn about the process and sample the local specialty if you wish.

Return to your hotel for breakfast, then set out again to ascend 329 steps to the top of Mount Phousi. The hilltop offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding rivers and mountains — a perfect spot for photos and reflection.
