My wife and I recently completed a 12-day tour of Vietnam, travelling from North to South, and it was an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Best Price Travel and the amazing Hang Moon. throughout the trip, Moon was with us every step of the way. Her communication was outstanding, staying in touch via WhatsApp and ensuring every part of our trip ran smoothly. The itinerary was well organised and balanced, covering all the highlights of Vietnam. Every detail, from airport transfers to hotel check-ins, tours, and internal transport was perfectly timed and stress free. The 4-star hotels we stayed in were fantastic, all including buffet breakfasts that exceeded our expectations. Lunches (when included) were set menus at reputable restaurants, giving us a real taste of Vietnamese cuisine. Our tour guides were knowledgeable, polite, and gave us plenty of time to explore and enjoy at our own pace. When our overnight Halong Bay cruise was unfortunately cut short due to bad weather, Best Price Travel quickly organised a private car to return us to our hotel without any delays. A refund was processed for the activities we missed was organised by our agent Moon. This was a hassle free experience, run by honest, professional people who really care about their clients. - Vietnam weather: General climate follows into three regions (North, Central, and South), North: diverse climate with distinct seasons: Spring (warm & humid), summer (hot & rainy), Autumn (breeze & cool), and winter (chilly & dry). Central: the same as the North at North Central Coast and dry and wet from South Central Coast inwards and the last South: Dry and wet seasons. Refer to details information.
- Cambodia weather: The wet (May-Step) contributes the heaviest rainfall of the year, while the dry (Oct-Apr) is under the influence of the hot and dry entire country. Read here for details.
Due to the above characteristics, the best time to visit Vietnam and Cambodia is from November to April, at least rainy year, for comfy transportation and sightseeing.

Looking to travel to Cambodia/Vietnam around Oct/Nov next year. Would like to spend approx 3 nights in siem reap and 7/8 nights in northern Vietnam (Hanoi, Ninh binh, Halong bay and possibly mai chau). Would ideally like to have transfers arranged between all of these - is private transfer available? Looking at higher end accommodation. Would be grateful for your input on price and suggested route / itinerary. We would likely be in Singapore for a few days beforehand. Arrival/departure to Asia likely from Singapore

Looking at obtaining a quote and itinerary from you. There will be possibly 4A (definitely 2A at the moment) and looking at travelling end of March beginning of April to visit your beautiful country. We are looking at 14 days to do both with all main sights included in each place. From Hanoi, Halong bay, ?Ninh Binh, Danang, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Hoi Chi Minh, Mekong Delta and Angkor Wat and other sites you might recommend in Cambodia. We are happy to stay in 3 - 4 star hotels as long as they are clean, central and with a pool and would love to ride on back of motorbike for tour and cyclo etc, stuff that would give us a different experience to our life here in Australia as we would love to mingle with the people and get to know more about the culture and food. Our budget will be $2000 AUD per person all inclusive and were hoping to hear from you, after all your great reviews, whether you could organise an itinerary that meets our needs with our budget constraints?

Looking back, we probably tried to include too many destinations within a short period, which meant spending quite a bit of time flying between cities. We also noticed a clear difference between the tours in the two countries. In Thailand, there seemed to be more sightseeing opportunities and a wider range of food tastings compared to Vietnam. One highlight we would strongly recommend is the Thai Farm cooking class — it was very well organised and thoroughly enjoyable.
In Vietnam, the sightseeing program felt a bit more limited, although exploring by motorbike definitely added a sense of excitement. The food-tasting experience, however, could have been more varied. That said, our time in Hanoi stood out thanks to our fantastic guide, Jerry, who made the visit truly memorable.
Another point worth mentioning is that there was quite a bit of free time in the itinerary. While we do appreciate some personal time, on other private luxury tours we’ve taken, we were often dropped off in central areas to explore on our own before being picked up again later. It seems that private tour structures in Thailand and Vietnam may still be evolving, and hopefully they will continue to improve with more experience.
Compared with some of our previous private luxury tours in the Far East, we felt the overall value could have been better. The program could include more activities, particularly when it comes to street food tastings. Ideally, a tasting experience would feature several different small dishes to better showcase the flavours of each destination. Nevertheless, this does not diminish the excellent personal support we received from Mia.
Overall, the journey was fascinating. Experiencing daily life and witnessing the lively yet surprisingly organised traffic in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City was truly eye-opening. We found the Thai people to be incredibly polite and welcoming, while the Vietnamese were equally warm and friendly.
