We're totally satisfied with our trip. Both Vietnam and Cambodia are gorgeous, we took a lot of lovely pics. Services're perfect. Our guides were so supportive and knowledgeable. There's nothing to complain about the food and our hotels, all were excellent! Highly recommend this tour!
We had a great time to travel from Vietnam to Cambodia in over 20 days. Everything is perfect from the tour guide, transportation, and food. The accommodation is good, except for our hotel in Phnom Penh which seems not as good as we expected, but we were supported quickly and change the better hotel for us, we're all totally glad. We'll definitely book tour with BestPrice Travel next time!

Would have liked to have been given the room options for the hotels. We could have used more input for our choice of itinerary as we went with what seems a basic tour package. We should have done more discussing of itinerary with the travel company. We didn't know how touristy some of our choices were, with local knowledge and input we would have changed up some of our destinations. Less

Every item on the itinerary was delivered on time (accommodation, trips, picks up) – so we had a completely worry free trip. We requested a change to our itinerary whilst on the train to Nha Trang – within 30 minutes our revised arrangements were booked – amazing service. The holiday came in on budget and far exceeded what we would have achieved organizing it using a UK based company.
The hotel in SaPa (SaPa Legend) was poor and not 4* in our opinion. The quality of the transport and food in Cambodia was not as high a standard as Vietnam.
Doing the fast boat to Phnom Penh one day followed by the coach to Siem Reap the next day was too much time sat in cramped conditions, especially as the boat went up and down river several times picking up passengers and ended up arriving over an hour later than our guide expected, meaning we were rushed on our afternoon trip and the guide had to adjust the schedule to fit it all in.
With hindsight we would have liked one extra day in Phnom Penh which would have broken up these two journeys a bit more and also allowed us to see the killing fields. Had we been given a choice we would have preferred not to have the set meals provided on the trips in Cambodia as they were more tourist orientated/ westernized and of poorer quality than the meals we had elsewhere. We would have happily paid more to have been given a choice.
3.1. Guide in Hanoi – 10/10 Brilliant! Great fun and tailored visit to our needs. Cannot speak highly enough of Tom, he is fun, easy to get on with and intuitive about what you may like. Added some of his own personal likes based on Steve’s comments and Steve thoroughly enjoyed them!
3.2. Guide in Sapa – 7/10 – the first morning’s walk was too challenging for our age given the weather conditions. This was maybe 3 Kms up a small mountain; the ground was wet and slippery; it’s a shame the guide did not think of this and suggest using a car to get to the first village. If it had not been for the help of two local people we would not have been able to make the journey but the village visits were wonderful. That said he did use his local contacts to help us with purchases.
3.3. Guide in Hue – 9/10 – good local knowledge and good tours. Very good service
3.4. Guide in Hoi An - 8/10 – only spent a couple of hours with him so unable to comment
3.5. Guide in Ho Chi Minh – 9/10 – Peter tailored the visit to our needs and provided good advice for places to visit on our own. Very helpful and easy to get on with.
3.6. Guide in Phnom Penh – 8/10 – we did not have enough time here so guide did his best in the time available. Steve was disturbed about the political and religious comment and thought, whilst maybe valid, it should have been said less strongly.
3.7. Guide in Siem Reap – 9.5/10 – Amazing knowledge of local history, thought through our ages and the heat and make adjustments to suit. Spent time assessing, talking to us and was very accommodating to our needs.
4. Accommodation
4.1. Hotel in Hanoi – Tirant Hotel – 10/10 – by far best hotel manager we have ever experienced – spoke to us daily, knew our names, many of our like and dislikes and any issues that arose during our stay. Batteries went in door lock, phoned reception and new batteries were fitted within 5 minutes. Offered free drinks on occasions, very friendly and very efficient. Great location too! The service is so good it would compensate for any other issue.
4.2. Hotel in Sapa – Sapa Legend Hotel – 3/10 – not a 4 star hotel in our opinion. Poor and rude service from the morning receptionist – the afternoon receptionist was lovely. Food very poor especially the ‘free’ meal to cover our missed breakfast. The meal was provided with no consultation and we had no choice nor idea what it was. The soup starter was cold; the main course was also cold and very fatty and grisly pork that was almost inedible. The rooms are tired, with tiles cracked. We were stopped from exiting the building at the most convenient exit and were told quite forcefully to go back upstairs. We would seriously recommend looking at alternative hotels in Sapa.
4.3. Hotel in Hue – Eldora Hotel – 8/10
4.4. Hotel in Hoi An – Hoi An Silk Luxury Hotel & Spa – 8/10 – good location but terrible view from the room; basically a brick wall.
4.5. Hotel in Nha Trang– Michellia Nha Trang – 6/10 – hotel was fine but bar service was very poor. For example there is a pool bar but to get service you need to get attention from someone inside the hotel whilst you are in trunks and wet. Evidence of many staff but getting anyone to actually serve you was a real challenge.
4.6. Hotel in Ho Chi Minh – Eden Star Hotel – 8/10 – good location, great hotel. Pool good, service excellent.
4.7. Hotel in Can Tho – Muong Thanh Hotel – 7/10 – great pool but rooms quite tired – bathroom door would not shut and shower bl Less
