Mr. Robert K
Everything has been good so far, from the pick-up and transfers to the hotels. We’re currently on tour with our guide, who is brilliant. Everyone is having lots of fun, and the kids are sleeping much better here than at home! The weather has been perfect with no rain, and the food has been great too.
It’s been a fantastic holiday so far, especially the guides in Hanoi and Dong Hoi. They were brilliant, and everyone has been super kind.
The only negative was Rosaleen Hotel. There was very loud dance music from the street until 3 am. The hotel provides earplugs as standard, so they obviously know about the noise. The staff were very kind and pleasant, and we couldn’t have asked for more from them. The hotel facilities, pool and food were all great, so it’s not really their fault. It’s just not the best choice for a family with children. It would probably be perfect for 18–30-year-olds, though!
I also wanted to give some feedback about our driver who took us to Hoi An. We knew he didn’t speak much English, but things like toilet breaks were easy to communicate. He also stopped at a nice lagoon for a longer break.
Later, there was a road closure and we had to take a different route across the mountain. He stopped for us at the top of Hai Van Pass and patiently waited while we explored Hai Van Quan. I know you could say that “this is just his job”, but I thought it was worth mentioning the extra effort he made to make our journey so much more enjoyable.
