A 4D3N cruise offers a deeper and more relaxed exploration of Halong Bay and its neighbors. You'll have plenty of time to explore unspoiled places that most cruises don't reach. It's also a great chance to enjoy a true escape with moderate time to unwind without rushing between highlights.

Yes, there's a noticeable difference in pace, depth of exploration, and overall experience between a 2-night cruise and a 3-night Halong Bay cruise, and it's more than just an "extra day."

Here's a breakdown to help you decide which one fits your travel style.

A Halong Bay cruise average price ranges from US$ 353 to $1,322 per person for 4 days, 3 nights. The cost can vary depending on the star ratings and cruise quality.

These prices do not include the transfer service from Hanoi, so you have to pay an extra (around US$ 20/ way/ pax).

The 4-day 3-night cruise allows access to secluded parts of Lan Ha or Bai Tu Long Bay.

  • Lan Ha Bay Route: Dark & Bright Cave ( Day 1) - Viet Hai Village & Ba Trai Dao (Day 2) - Cat Ba Island - Trung Trang Cave ( Day 3) - Tra Bau Area (Day 4).
  • Bai Tu Long Bay Route: Cap La Island ( Day 1) - Cong Dam ( Day 2) - Vung Vieng Village & Thien Canh Son Cave ( Day 3) - Cong Do ( Day 4).

Alternatively, you can check out a cruise like Amanda Legend, which visits both Bai Tu Long Bay and Halong Bay.

Currently, no cruises visit all 3 bays because the routes are regulated under the Halong Management Board; combining all three would be rushed and logistically difficult. You can combine 2 bays to explore properly without wasting time on transfers between highlights.

Most 4-day Halong Bay cruises travel to less-explored areas in Bai Tu Long Bay or Lan Ha Bay & Cat Ba Island, offering plenty of activities and full relaxation.
