Mekong Eyes Classic Cruise 3 days: Saigon - Phnom Penh (Speedboat)

Morning

For those who book shuttle service, be ready at your hotel in Saigon (district 1 & part of district 3) around 08:00 to 08:30, there will be a shuttle bus coming to pick you up. Then we start our journey to Cai Be. 

About 11:30, get on board and process the check-in. After a while, lunch is served, so we can eat and sightsee the fantastic scenery along the riverside.

Afternoon & Evening

Tour guide-led excursion through orchards and small-scale settlements. This is quite the quickest way to get closer to local life. You may tour the verdant gardens and large paddy fields while interacting with friendly rural residents.

A peaceful walking trip on land

Better be back on board before dusk to be on time for the opportunity to watch sunset on the top deck. 

We will have dinner in the evening in the cruise restaurant. Relax and spend the night on the cruise while it anchors for the night.

Morning

Breakfast and morning tea are available on board. 8:00 is cabin check-out time. 

Next, a lengthy sampan ride will take you to the Cai Rang floating market. Let's explore one of the most lively marketplaces in the Mekong Delta and immerse yourself in the bustling merchant scene.

After the market trip, we travel to Chau Doc by shuttle service and have lunch en route.

Afternoon

Arrival at Chau Doc will be around 15:30. Chau Doc is a big city in the province of An Giang, which is close to the border between Vietnam and Cambodia. The country is known for its cultural influence by the Kinh, Cham, Hoa, and Khmer ethnic groups, as well as its rich natural beauty and beautiful spiritual stories. 

We swiftly check into the hotel.

Evening

The evening is free time for guests. You may tour the lovely city on your own and sample some of the famous local dishes, such as fish noodle soup, durian salad, Chau Doc Siamese sticky rice, jaggery beefcake, fish hot pot, rare beef with tamarind, etc.

Morning

At about 07:00, we take everyone to the dock, where you board a speed boat for an exhilarating journey to Phnom Penh, your starting point for exploring Cambodia and the amazing, well-known temples of Angkor Wat.

Arrival at Sisowath Quay International Port, Phnom Penh, is expected to be from 13:00 to 13:30. (The time may differ owing to current immigration regulations).

Note: Shuttle service from/to hotels in Phnom Penh within 5km from Sisowath pier is free of charge. The fee for other drop-off locations in Phnom Penh will be advised upon booking.

Morning

If you've booked the transfer service, a shuttle bus will collect you at 07:30 - 08:00 from your accommodation in Saigon (specifically in District 1 and parts of District 3) for a comfortable journey to Can Tho.

At 11:30, board the cruise and complete the check-in process. Enjoy a panoramic cruise while relishing lunch on board, immersing yourself in the breathtaking scenery and daily activities of the Mekong people.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, disembark from the cruise for a village visit, guests are taken to the neighboring fruit orchards, and rice fields, and engage with locals alongside our knowledgeable guide. Don't miss out on the opportunity to taste fresh local food and fruits during this enriching experience.

Land excursion with a local guide

You should return to the cruise at dusk and join a sunset party on the top deck, featuring refreshing beverages.

Evening

At about 19:00, indulge in a delicious dinner served on the cruise. 

Spend the night on board, where you can enjoy board games with friends, sip cocktails at the bar, or unwind in your cabin.

Morning

Begin your day with an early breakfast, accompanied by a refreshing morning tea break. You should complete the cabin check-out before 08:00, then embark on a serene journey through the small canals of the Mekong Delta in a rowing sampan.

Visit Tan Phong islet, spanning over 1000 hectares and renowned for its abundance of fresh and delightful fruits such as rambutan, longan, grapefruit, orange, plum, etc. Experience the enchanting "Đờn ca tài tử” (Folk Music) and gain insights into the craft-making process by visiting a local handicrafts family.

Engage in a bicycle ride or a leisurely walk through a quaint village along the Mekong Canals, surrounded by the natural beauty of flowers and trees planted by the locals, creating a picturesque and serene atmosphere.

A shuttle bus comes at 11:00, brings the guests to Chau Doc, and offers a mid-way lunch during the journey.

Afternoon & Evening

Relax and take in the mesmerizing landscape from the bus, providing a unique perspective of the surroundings.

We are expected to reach Chau Doc at 15:30. Check in at your hotel and have your free evening. 

Morning

We start the journey at 07:00 to transfer to the pier in Chau Doc and the departure of a speed boat to Phnom Penh.

Around 13:00 to 13:30, we make it to Sisowath Quay International Phnom Penh. That is when the trip comes to an end. However, time may vary due to current immigration formalities.
