From Sai Gon, our trip takes you to Sa Dec, spend the majority of the time touring the Mekong Delta's beautiful countryside. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Customer

15 days before departure: 10% of total rates
From 7 to 14 days before departure: 50% of total rates
From 3 to 6 days before departure: 75% of total rates
Under 3 days before departure: 100% of total rates

Children Policy

One (01) child under 6 years old sharing a cabin with two (02) adults is free of charge. For the second child under 6 years old, 50% of the adult rate will be applied.
For children from 6 to under 12 years old, a 50% rate will be applied for one (01) child sharing a cabin with two (02) adults.
In case two (02) children under 12 years old share one cabin, the rate is 75% of the adult price for each child.
For the third (03) adult using an extra bed/mattress, the rate is 80% of the adult price.
Children from 12 years old and above are charged as adults.

Cruise Itineraries

Day 1Sai Gon - Sa Dec - Can Tho

Morning

7:30 - 8:00: A driver will pick you up from Saigon’s hotel (district 1 & part of district 3). We will move to the Gecko Eyes Private Cruise.

Around 11:30, we welcome our crews and captain with drinks, then we embark on the ship and check our rooms for our upcoming journey.

Our visit to the ancient traders’ villa and pagoda in Sa Dec, which stands out with French architecture outside but has Chinese elements inside.

Afterward, enjoy lunch onboard while navigating the Mekong River.

Afternoon & Evening

After that, our ship stops for travelers to have a short walk or bike ride through a rural village. Delve into the vibrant fruit orchards, admire the expanse of rice fields, and meet locals for unforgettable experiences.

Re-embarking on the cruise for dinner, the Gecko Eyes will dock at the river shore. Passengers will have a nice dinner and stay overnight on the boat.

Day 2Can Tho - Cai Rang Floating Market - Sai Gon

Morning & Afternoon

Indulge in breakfast and a morning tea break while cruising on the Mekong River.

Today, we embark on a journey to the Cai Rang floating market via traditional long sampans. Let's witness a vibrant display of exotic fruits, vegetables, and locally crafted goods in this bustling area. You'll have the chance to engage with merchants on the boats for shopping and negotiation.

After that, we start the trip back to Saigon at 11:00 and have lunch en route (for those who book the transfer service)

At 16:30, we will arrive in Saigon. The journey comes to an end.

Day 1Saigon - Can Tho - Sa Dec

Morning

07:30 - 08:00: Pick-up from your hotel in central Saigon (District 1 and parts of District 3, for guests using the transfer service). Leave behind the city’s lively energy and begin your scenic drive into the fertile heart of the Mekong Delta.

11:30: Board your cruise vessel in Can Tho. Receive a warm welcome from the crew as you check into your cabin and settle in. The cruise begins with a picturesque journey to Sa Dec, along charming canals, offering the first glimpse into delta life.

Afternoon & Evening

Lunch is served on board, featuring freshly prepared regional specialties. As you dine, watch the scenery unfold.

In the late afternoon, set out for a gentle walk or bicycle ride to a rural village. Explore peaceful backroads, cross small bridges, and meet local families who continue traditions passed down through generations. This excursion gives you the chance to see authentic life away from the main towns.

Afterward, return to the boat as the sun dips below the horizon. Refresh with a drink on the deck before enjoying a delicious dinner served in the dining area. Let the calm waters and starlit sky lull you into a restful night on board.

Day 2Sa Dec - Saigon

Morning & Afternoon

Awake to the soothing rhythm of the river. Enjoy a morning cruise accompanied by a tea or coffee break on deck, the perfect start to the day.

From Sa Dec, take a leisurely walk through the town’s vibrant morning market, alive with colors and aromas, before visiting the historic ancient house linked to the famous French novel The Lover, and a nearby pagoda steeped in cultural heritage.

11:00: Disembark and begin your road journey back to Saigon. A lunch break will be included en route for those using the transfer service. Relax during the drive as you retrace your path from the peaceful Mekong Delta to the dynamic pulse of the city.

16:00 - 16:30: Arrival in Saigon. Your tour concludes with unforgettable memories of the Mekong’s timeless charm.

Loved how peaceful and personal the cruise felt

We did the Gecko Eyes private cruise from Sa Dec to Can Tho (3 days). Having a private boat meant no rushing and access to small canals you’d never see on a bigger cruise.

The cabin was simple but comfortable, with great river views. Waking up to local life along the Mekong was a highlight. Excursions were well-paced and authentic.

Meals were freshly cooked and delicious, especially enjoying dinner on deck at sunset. By the time we reached Can Tho, we felt we’d experienced the Mekong in a truly local way.

We were able to secure the cruise for an evening bay cruise and overnight followed the next day with the trip to Can Tho. There also is an upper deck sitting area for enjoying all there is to see as you float along the Mekong. Our meals were wonderfully prepared and kindly served by our hosts. The team we worked with got us to the floating market, several villages, and a great nature experience viewing an egret preserve.

Nice trip

We took a private boat with the Gecko Eyes team from Sai Gon to Can Tho (on the Mekong River). This one-cabin ship included a comfortable stateroom and a lovely living space for meals and viewing.

The crew on the boat were really attentive and made our stay entirely delightful. This was one of the most fun and memorable travel experiences we've had, and we strongly recommend it.
