To our amazement, there was a gorgeous field of Lotus flowers near the bank the first night we docked on an island in the river. The river was low on the final day, so we drove the remaining distance to Siem Riep in a comfortable car. In the Tonle Sap Lake, we went to a floating town and an ancient bridge.
Although I wouldn't describe the trip as lavish, it was extremely pleasant, and the boat was spotlessly clean and organized. Less
This trip satisfied beyond the expectations of culture vultures like us. Local life, the culture, the village, everything was so excellent. The staff on board was also friendly and polite; they cared for us carefully and made us feel cozy like we were at home. Thanks to Rosie for helping us to have this wonderful trip! Your travel company was excellent!
We were looking for an authentic, cultural experience instead of a commercial, westernised one. The Mekong Dawn and it’s amazing staff have far exceeded our expectations. We have had the adventure of a life time.

Beautiful food, exciting day trips to places off the beaten track and staff that were there to look after our every need. We travelled in early November when the weather in Cambodia was very warm but our cabin was air conditioned and very comfortable. The whole boat is beautifully decorated and had a wonderful authentic feel.
We will definitely be back.
Thanks again Ms Sopheap, Sam and your wonderful crew. You made us feel like family.

Very Good
Cabin is a little bit small and there is not a lot of available activities.
The staff on the Mekong Dawn were helpful, attentive, friendly – just great.

Also, we did not feel very good on the cruise – Phnom Penh had been very hot and quite polluted and this may have affected us – but we were not quite able to fully enjoy this part of the trip. The speedboat trip from the end of the cruise to Siem Reap dock, was quite uncomfortable and hot – 4 hours on a cramped very full boat. Less
