Meeting Point

Please proceed to the meeting point located on the 2nd floor, inside the arrivals hall, at Exit B gate No.6. Your representative will be wearing a blue polo holding a sign with your name on it, or in case of multiple pick ups, the signs may be hanging on the aluminum railing at our meeting point. 

Today, you will take on no less than four of Bangkok’s finest temples and a tour around the city’s fascinating canals.

After breakfast at hotel, we start our trip at Wat Traimit - home to the world’s largest solid golden Buddha - before hopping across the old city streets to see an even larger Buddha statue at Wat Pho. The one here may not be solid gold, but it impresses even more thanks to its sheer size and the fact that it is ‘leaning’ on its side - a reference to the Buddha’s “Lion Sleep” position. Our next stop is the magnificent Grand Palace, another sprawling temple complex boasting some of the finest Thai-Buddhist architecture in the entire country. We continue exploring the vast grounds and numerous dazzling buildings, including the highly-revered Wat Phra Kaew, home to the prized Emerald Buddha statue dating back to the 14th Century.

After grabbing lunch, we spend the better part of the afternoon on the water, meandering through the quaint canals and taking in the quieter side of life from the seat of a traditional ‘long tail’ boat. Of course, a tour of Bangkok’s Thonburi side isn’t complete without the spectacular and iconic Wat Arun - take time to explore the iconic temple towering 79 metres over the Chao Phraya River. After tour, you will come back to hotel to relax.

In the evening, you will join the street food group tour by tuk tuk. The transfer from your hotel to the meeting point will be arranged on your own.

You will embark from Siam Bangkok Hotel on an exciting tuk tuk ride through Bangkok’s vibrant streets. Stroll along Phetchaburi Soi 5, where food carts spring up as the day turns from evening to night, and sample delicious street eats such as coconut pudding and Thai style grill meat. From there, you continue by Tuk Tuk to catch a glimpse of two beautiful Bangkokian landmarks wonderfully lit at night, the Marble Temple and the Anantasamakom Throne Hall. You travel next to Phra Arthit Road to encounter Bangkok’s Roti expert and sample incredible Thai-Indian cuisine, from freshly-baked Roti to uniquely flavourful curries. Indulge your taste buds at Bangkok’s most famous Pad Thai restaurant on Thailand’s best Pad Thai, enjoying the explosion of spicy and savoury flavours and the amazing variety of textures from the delicate noodles to the crunchy peanuts. Later, you stroll through Pak Klong Talat, Thailand’s largest flower market, which only operates overnight. Take a short break from eating to visit the majestic Wat Pho after dark, where you can enjoy the temple’s sparkling gold towers beautifully lit up and marvel at the sight of the magnificent Reclining Buddha. Sip on a refreshing cocktail at a rooftop bar as you take in the splendid views of the Chao Phraya river and the twinkling buildings along the riverbanks. You will end the night on a sweet note with seasonal dessert before the tuk tuk carries you back. The tour will end at around 23:00 hrs.

Preparing for a morning of color, art, and passion, you’re picked up at your hotel and driven 100 km southwest of Bangkok to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in the Ratchaburi province. Harking back to a time when water transport was the primary mode of transportation, the floating market features fresh fruits, flowers, colorful clothing, souvenirs, and more along the waterways and on vendor boats. We walk around and check out the many stalls or rent a paddle boat (at your own expense) to experience the market from the water.

Our next stop at the Mae Klong railway market, which is also called alad Rom Hoop. As the name suggests, part of the market is situated on the railway. Every morning till late in the evening, this market springs to life selling a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, snacks, clothes, and accessories. However, what makes the market unique and exciting is the fact that a train will run through the market 8 times a day, every day of the week. Shoppers will hop off the tracks, and vendors will quickly pack their goods and prepare to close/retract their awnings from the train track as the train passes by. 

After the tour, you will come back to the hotel to relax. The rest of the day will be free on your own.

Having breakfast at your hotel. Free time until driver picks up at hotel then transfer to airport for the flight to Chiang Mai.

Upon arrival, driver welcomes your group at airport then take you to hotel in Chiang Mai to check in.

We will get a taste of what makes northern Thai food distinctive and famous even among Thailand’s iconic cuisine. Tonight’s outing is your chance to experience a unique and rather delicious Thai custom, the ‘Khantoke’ dinner. Served in large platters on low tables, enjoy a selection of iconic Northern-style dishes, including spicy chili dip with steamed vegetables, crispy pork skin, fried chicken wings, spicy sausage and the classic Burmese-inspired pork curry.

During your meal, you enjoy a line-up of live dance and music performances by members of surrounding ethnic hill tribes, including Karen, Hmong, Lahu, Akha, Mien and Lisu. To cap off a memorable night, you’re invited to join in with the final act called ‘Ramwong’, where you can dance, smile and laugh alongside the local performers.

Chiang Mai, one of the largest cities in Thailand and the cultural and business centre of northern Thailand, is overflowing with ancient Buddhist Temples, each with their own unique design and history. In this half-day tour, visit four of the most iconic temples as well as a mountaintop temple, while driving past city markets, residential areas and Chiang Mai’s main street. After being picked up at your hotel, your first destination is Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, a must-see temple and one of the most respected amongst all Thais. As the temple is located at the top of a mountain, challenge yourself to walk up the 300 steps of the intricately-carved mythical Naga Serpent Staircas, or take a cable car to the top for an incredible view over the stunning architecture, statues, murals and shrines of the ciety and surrounding areas.

After you descend the mountain, drive through the city to begin your temple hopping. First up is Wat Chedi Luang, a Lanna-style chedi that was once one of the tallest structures in ancient Chiang Mai. Next, we visit Wat Phra Singh, or Temple of the Lion Buddha, where you can view a collection of classic Lanna art and explore an old library. Finally, we wander the gardens at Wat Suan Dok, Flower Garden Temple, where you can check out a 500-year-old bronze Buddha statue, one of the largest in Thailand.

Today, you will learn how to cook northern Thailand’s culinary classics at Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School. Located at Doi Saket just out of town and managed by an expert Thai chef. We follow the lead of culinary team to choose a range of authentic, fresh ingredients to whip up some of Thailand’s best-known food favourites.

After following the lead of your instructor to cook up sour and spicy soup, pork and basil, fried rice, spicy salad and green curry, sit down to sample each of your creations. At the end of your class, we take home a recipe book with notes on how to replicate your dishes at home!

Free time until driver picks up you at hotel then take you to airport for the next flight. The tour will end after dropping off your group at the airport.
