Vietnam Steps by Step to Open for Tourism [Update in 15th Feb 2022]
From 15th February 2022, Vietnam announced to authorities all over the world the unlimited exploitation of airlines.
Vietnam’s solution to welcome international tourists post Covid-19
On 20th Nov 2021, Vietnam welcomed the first group of travelers to Hoi An, where the majority of locals have been vaccinated. From that time, Vietnam only connected airlines and allowed travelers from countries including America, Thailand, Campuchia, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, Russia, England, French, Germany, Japan.
Fortunately, on 15th Feb 2022, Vietnam allows opening flight ways on the basis of feedback from the Civil Aviation of the Authority of all countries and market demand - expanding the number of countries/territories. The advantage of this solution is that according to its policy, Vietnam is totally open for foreigners from all countries and territories who are fully vaccinated and have negative PCR-Covid 19 test results no more than 72 hours before arrival. On the other hand, a restriction still available, tourists must pay the cost of government-designed, two tests and Covid -19 treatment in advance.
All travelers must stay in government-designed or private accommodation.
Fully vaccinated: Quarantine 3 days. Test PCR Covid-19 on the third day.
Not enough vaccine yet: Quarantine 7 days. Test PCR Covid-19 on the third day and the seventh.
Document requirements or entering to Vietnam
- Passport
- Entry letter
- An RT-PCR negative result is valid no more than 72 hours before arrival
- Medical Insurance with the coverage of USD 50,0000 that also covers expenses for RT-PCR COVID-19 tests, COVID-19 treatment, and related isolation (if there's any)
- A certificate of fully vaccinated with the 2nd no less than 14 days before arrival applied for everyone.
- Visa fee at the airport (if there’s any)
