FAQs
Each country has its own characteristics when mentioning the weather.
In Cambodia, there are 2 seasons around the year:
- Average temperature: 27-28°C
- Dry season (December - April) with north-east monsoon and hot wind blows
- Wet season (May - November) with increasing rainfall
Laos also has a tropical climate with dry and wet seasons:
- Average temperature: around 32°C
- Dry season (November - April) with both high and low temperatures
- Wet season (May - September) with monsoon and high humidity
Vietnam's weather is different from the two above countries due to its three main regions and their own distinct climate patterns.
- North: warm spring (February - April, ), hot summer (May - August), sunny autumn (September - November), and cold winter (December - January). The obvious difference in temperature is between summer, 28-38°C, and winter, 10-20°C.
- Central: dry season (February - August), storm season (September - October), and rainy season (November - January). The average temperature is 20-30°C.
- South: dry season (November - April) with low humidity and rainy season (May - October) with frequent downpours in the afternoon. The average temperature is 25-36°C.
So the greatest time to visit Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos is from November to April. During this period, there will be the least amount of rain with comfortable weather overall.

However, in case you do not have much time and are not flexible enough to take an up-to-3-week journey, you might consider a 12-day or 14-day tour with shorter itineraries but more transfers and flights.

We booked our trip with BestPrice Travel and Rosie Nhung was a great help from the start. She made everything easy for us and made sure the transfers and bookings were right for what we needed. She also kept in touch during the trip and let us know about timings and other details. We were really happy with the service from Rosie and would definitely use BestPrice Travel again.

Many thanks for helping us with the most amazing holiday. We really had a great time and saw so much during our trip.
Hanoi was lovely, although we probably could have done with another day there. The Heritage Ham Long Hotel was very nice and in a great location, close to central Hanoi and the lake. The city tour was also very good, especially the temples, craft centre and Ho Chi Minh memorial park. We found Train Street ourselves and thought it would have been nice to include this in the tour.
Ninh Binh was another highlight. The boat trips and National Park were beautiful, and the Lalita Boutique Hotel had lovely large bedrooms and excellent spa treatments. The hotel pool and restaurant could do with some improvement though.
Halong Bay was absolutely fantastic, including the 6am Tai Chi.
Hoi An was lovely too. Silkotel was very central and convenient, and Toni was a great guide. The fishing village and boat trip were very enjoyable and gave us a good insight into local life.
We also went to the Memories Show as a group and thought it was excellent.
Overall, a fabulous start to our holiday and we really appreciated all your help. Less

One thing I would mention is the climb at Trang An. Two members of our group have heart conditions and both had problems after climbing the steps. We felt that a little more information about the climb would have been helpful, particularly for older travellers. Something as simple as advising people to take their time and bring some snacks and drinks could make a difference.
The Halong Bay trip was awesome and absolutely fantastic. The early morning Tai Chi was a great experience.
In Hoi An, Toni was a very good and informative guide. We particularly enjoyed the local fishing village and boat trip. Two of our group would also have liked to do a moped tour, so perhaps this could be offered as an optional activity in the future.
Ho Chi Minh City was also very interesting. The Cu Chi Tunnels and history museum were both excellent. Mr Huy Hiep was very informative, and we enjoyed stopping at a local roadside shop for iced coffee.
The second day guide, Lyndt, was also excellent and kept us informed throughout the tour. The Mekong Delta was great, especially seeing the local brick kiln and straw mat making. Less
Un viaje muy bien organizado, el alojamiento es de buena calidad, los guías locales son expertos y amables, los conductores de los traslados son fáciles de encontrar y corteses.

From the first contact, everything was quite easy and we always knew what was happening.
Moon was particularly helpful while we were planning the trip. We changed a few things along the way and she was very patient with us and quick to reply. Once we were travelling, the transfers were well organised and we never had to wait around for a driver or worry about getting to the next hotel.
The hotels were mostly very comfortable and the breakfasts were good. We also enjoyed having a bit of free time in between the tours rather than being busy from morning until night. The guides were friendly and most of them had very good English.
There were a couple of small things that could have been better, but nothing that caused us any real problems. Overall, the trip was much easier than organising everything ourselves, and we were happy with how it turned out. Less
