Itinerary
08:00 – 08:15 am It’s time to hit off the road with our local tour guide. You will be picked up at the hotel then transferred to the boat station. Let’s catch the romantic sight of Hue city on the way.
08:30 – 11:30 am Start your boat trip along the poetic Perfume River to visit the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda, a special architectural site known as the highest stupa in Vietnam. Thien Mu Pagoda is such a symbolic status that it becomes a subject of folk rhymes and cadao about Hue city. Coming to this beautiful ancient structure of worship, you will also hear about a special legend of the pagoda’s name.
The next stopovers will be two highlights of ancient constructions dating back to the Nguyen Dynasty in Vietnam.
Imperial Citadel of Hue is a 520-ha walled compound of Hue monuments making the most majestic and massive structure in the history of modern Vietnam.
Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities is one of the most ancient museums in Vietnam, where a collection of nearly 10,000 royal fine arts dedicated to the Vietnamese imperial past of that era has been preserved and displayed.
The last stop is Dong Ba Market, the largest and oldest of its kind in Hue City. Occupying a 16,000-square-meter area along the northern bank of Perfume River, Dong Ba Market is somewhere you can find hundreds of goods, ranging from household items, handicrafts, clothing, fresh food to local specialties at affordable prices.
12:00 – 12:30 am End of half-day excursion, you will be dropped off at 45 - 47 Le Loi Street, the Tourist Information Center.
