Morning
At 07:30, our driver will pick you up for an exciting day ahead. We hop on a minivan to transfer you to the Elephant Conservation Center, about 90 kilometers away in Xayabouly.
Upon arriving at the Nam Tien Lake pier, tourists switch to a boat ride to the center. After that, settle into your private bungalow and savor a delicious Laotian-style meal.
Afternoon
Your expert guide will lead you on a tour of the center, including a visit to the Elephant Hospital to learn about our conservation projects led by veterinarians and biologists.
The highlight of the day is observing the elephants' daily baths. Visitors can witness their playful nature and social interactions in the water. Afterward, meet the mahouts, who will demonstrate how they interact with these gentle giants and share the commands they use.
This is your chance to get up close and personal with the elephants, feeling their incredible skin, prickly hair, and even offering them food. Please note that this is optional and does not involve sitting on chairs on the elephant's back.
As you walk the elephants to their nightly resting area, tourists witness the special bond between the mahouts and their elephants. Your guide will also share information about the biodiversity of the protected forest.
Evening
Before dinner, you can take in the surroundings from our viewpoint, swim in the lake, or visit the museum. During mealtime, feel free to ask any remaining questions to our staff or enjoy one of our Lao-style cocktails.
