Morning

Our Mekong Ecolodge boat awaits to pick you up at the Cai Be tourist pier and transfer you to the iconic Cai Be floating market. Tourists can witness the vibrant trading scene as local vendors exchange goods from boat to boat. 

Continue the journey to the Com candy craft village, where you can gain knowledge about the process of crafting candy nuggets and indulge in freshly baked sweet nuggets. Then, delight in a visit to a charming bee farm to explore the art of honey production and enjoy a soothing cup of honey tea.

Our ship sails to Tan Phong Island, an oasis of garden tourism featuring specialty fruit gardens filled with treasures like durian, rambutan, longan, jackfruit, and more. 

Moving to a local house to experience an enchanting garden folk music exchange and enjoy a cup of tea with fresh fruits from our host. From there, you will join a serene dinghy sailing adventure, exploring the picturesque canals surrounding Tan Phong Island. 

Arrive at Mekong Ecolodge, you will check-in to your haven for the night, savor a delicious lunch, and take some time to rest.

Afternoon

Start our afternoon schedule with an exploration through the lush surroundings of the Mekong Ecolodge campus. You can visit the vibrant flower gardens and try the fresh fruits on-site. 

Around 16:00, visitors have a chance to participate in a unique local activity: “slapping the ditch” to catch fish. Then, join in the fun of picking fresh vegetables from the garden, preparing for your upcoming dinner. After gathering vegetables and catching fish, collaborate with our talented chef at Mekong Ecolodge to craft delectable dishes using the ingredients you've collected.

Participate In A Unique Local Activity To Catch Fish

Morning

Get ready for an authentic cultural immersion as you receive bicycles for an exciting exploration of Tan Phong Island. This unique experience allows you to connect with the local community and participate in various activities.

First, you will be surprised with the incredible skill of locals while making rice paper rolls, a staple in Vietnamese cuisine. Then, discover the art of hammock weaving using banana rope and even try your hand at creating your own hammock.

Continue the journey at a friendly local house, where you can learn the traditional craft of water hyacinth weaving. Under the guidance of our host, you can weave your own creations, creating unique and eco-friendly souvenirs. Then, you can gain knowledge about the process of making nail files with bamboo sticks.

Moving on, we engage in a unique jackfruit leaf cake-making session, guided by our talented host. You not only learn how to make it but also relish the results of your culinary efforts. 

After the cooking class, hop on a ferry to Hiep Duc Ferry at 12:00 and transfer back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
