Day : Ben Tre Mekong Gateway Full Day
Morning
- 8:00 am: Our tour guide will have a small meeting with you, and you will be picked up at your hotel in Saigon and begin to travel to Ben Tre Province
Cruise along the Ham Luong River. This large river flows entirely on Ben Tre's land. Taking a leisurely cruise on this poetic river, you will have time to admire all the beauty of the western region of Vietnam with its mangrove forests and the exciting culture of the people here. We also explore the lively activities along rivers as fishing and water transferring.
After having a short sightseeing onboard, we'll stop off at a coconut processing workshop and a brick factory to learn how to make a brick in handy traditional style by printing and baking.
- Then, we'll stroll to a mat-weaving house and enjoy some tasty fruit and tea.
- Let's have a short walk around a tranquil village to experience the local life in the Delta region and take a deep breath to feel the peaceful beauty of the river countryside.
- After then, we'll continue to board the 'xe loi' (a kind of motorized rickshaw) or bike to travel into the fruit orchards. A beautiful statue with impressive fruit gardens will appear before your eyes. You will have the opportunity to admire the beauty of the agricultural products before enjoying lunch
- A delicious meal with local specialties will be served for lunch at a riverside restaurant
Afternoon
- After lunch, our program continues with taking a sampan boat trip to explore the narrow canals. You will have about 10-15 minutes for sightseeing on the boat and going through the magnificent mangroves. Don't forget to bring your camera to save these beautiful moments.
- Around 17:00: We will go back to your hotel in Saigon or your next destination. This is also the end of service.

This tour was very good value and we enjoyed our day. We hadn’t booked an individual tour but there were only 2 other people in our party which was nice. However, this was a popular tour with many other tour groups doing the same things so I wouldn’t say it gave a very natural view of the Mekong.
