• Our next destination is the fruitful orchards of Ben Tre, known for its abundant birdlife.
• Explore the area further using local transportation, allowing us to discover the hidden gems of this region. Transitioning to a traditional rowboat, we will meander through picturesque bamboo-covered canals, offering a tranquil and serene experience. Our journey will lead us to a village renowned for its production of local goods, providing an insight into the traditional craftsmanship of the area.

• In the evening, be captivated by a mesmerizing performance from a Vietnamese dance troupe on the deck of our ship. Delight in the cultural richness and artistic talent showcased during this captivating display, creating lasting memories of our time on the river.

• Cruising along the expansive delta provides a genuine glimpse into the vibrant river life. Following a satisfying lunch, we navigate through a narrow canal and disembark at Con Phuoc Island, where we have the opportunity to connect with local artisans who skillfully weave bamboo baskets using traditional techniques.
• Witnessing a demonstration, we are encouraged to participate and try our hand at crafting our own unique creations.

Afternoon

• Continuing our exploration, we embark on a delightful adventure aboard a local tuk-tuk, traversing the tranquil village landscape. Along the way, we make a stop at a charming 100-year-old church, immersing ourselves in the rich history and cultural heritage of the area.
• Engaging with the warm and welcoming local community, we gain deeper insights into their way of life and forge meaningful connections.

Morning

• We arrive at the picturesque border town of Chau Doc and embark on a sampan excursion to explore the floating fish farms.
• We immerse ourselves in the vibrant scenes and observe the unique way of life in this water-based community.

Afternoon

• Our journey continues as we make a stop at Chham Village, where we have the opportunity to witness the lives of Vietnamese Muslims and learn about their cultural traditions.
• Following this, we take a short minivan ride to Sam Mountain, where the Phuoc Dien Tu or Hang Pagoda is located. Climbing the 400 steps to the top, we are rewarded with breathtaking views and the chance to experience the tranquility of the pagoda.

Night

• Returning to the ship, we navigate through a network of canals, enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the waterways.
• As the night approaches, we anchor at the Vietnam/Cambodia border to complete Immigration formalities.
• Alternatively, during high water periods, we visit the charming Long Thuan village, immersing ourselves in the local way of life and connecting with the welcoming community.
