We had a wonderful time on the Mekong River tour on this lovely boat with our fantastic tour guide - Kim. Kim was a joy to be around and very well-organized. He answered the same questions repeatedly from those of us who weren't paying attention with incredible patience! He got along incredibly well with the entire ship's crew and passengers. Kim went above and above to provide us with all extras. Every day, Kim made himself available to give us informal lessons about the area's history, geography, and culture during his own "downtime" while we were sailing and when our visitors were taking a nap. He purchased strange items for us while taking us on walks through the marketplaces so we could all sample them. He aided us with shopping and communicating with the locals. He is an excellent guide! We took the Mekong River Cruise and were dropped at the bee hive farm and pagodas,... and the Apsara show onboard was interesting.
We bought many local products as gifts, that's truly valuable.
We also had a sampan ride, which was different and unique.
This journey was impressive. We had a lot of exciting experiences. The boat was also lovely, the food was delicious, and the staff was kind and polite; they always smiled at us and accepted all our requirements. The traditional apsara show was terrific; we were very impressed with that!

shore excursions in Vietnam were with vendors where it was expected that money be spent, and that the guide recieve a tip, even though it was clear that the guide was receiving a fee for bringing the group
