Cu Lao Gieng Island

Historical attractions
Tourists can enjoy a historical place by visiting interesting attractions. Among the large area of lawn and trees, tourists will be charmed with the Roman Catholic structure, Cu Lao Gieng Church. The church was said to be built by a French priest from 1879. With the materials shipped from France, after about 10 years Cu Lao Gieng Church was completed, and until now it seems to be the oldest church in southern region. Despite being damaged a little in the war 1945, now, it is a venue for meetings of local Franciscans and also a great attractions for visitors.

Besides, you can visit Thanh Hoa Tu, which is known as Dao Nam temple, was built in 1953. This temple was decorated by many vivid wall embossed pattern solemnly. Moreover, there are many other constructions and typical art as The Phuoc Thanh pagoda, tomb of Ba Quan Thuong Dang and 138-year-old monastery of Providence Sisters, etc.
