Koh Mae Koh Viewpoint

Koh Mae Koh Viewpoint is located in Koh Mae Koh island, one of the few islands at which you stop by during the trip to Angthong Marine National Park. There are 2 different viewpoints in Koh Mae Koh. The first one is easy to reach with only 5 minutes climb. The condition of the stairs is pretty decent, making the climb a comfortable one. The second viewpoint is more challenging to climb than the first one. It takes around 45 minutes to reach. However, it offers impressive scenery.

On the top of these viewpoints, you will be able to see the evergreen tropical rainforest, or limestone karsts, with the surrounding water, the beautiful emerald green lake called Thale Nai. The lake is surrounded by beautifully aligned limestone cliffs, linked to the sea through many underwater caves.

The best way to reach this viewpoint is to book an organized group tour that will take you to the island where you climb to the viewpoint as well as visit hidden lagoons, caves, white sandy beaches. They also provide facilities like snorkeling and kayaking.
The best time to visit the Ang Thong Marine Park is between March and October when the seas lie flat. July and August are in peak season. The park closes completely during the height of the monsoons between November and December each year.
