Patong beach is located in the north of Karon, west of Phuket city, southern Thailand. Patong is a very famous beach in Phuket Thailand. This is considered a paradise for sea tourism with all facilities and sea sports. Every year, Patong Beach alone welcomes millions of visitors from all over the world. Patong Beach is also known for its vibrant and bustling nightlife as well as a place of ethnic diversity. In addition to Thais, there are Chinese, Malays, and Vietnamese community. Not only does Patong have a beautiful natural landscape stretching for 3km with fine white sand, clear blue sea, but it is also invested in facilities for modern water sports such as scuba diving, windsurfing, water skiing, and sailing. Patong Beach is a paradise for jetskiing and paragliding games. Operators can be found a few hundred meters away, especially at the end of Bangla Road. In addition, other sports such as banana boat and windsurfing are equally popular. Loma Park is a public park located just north of the area and in the middle of Patong beach. You can easily find a children's entertainment area with games like horse riding, ferris wheel and other outdoor activities that are designed for families with small children. Besides, Surf House Patong Beach is a vibrant surfing spot on Beach Road. The price for surfing here is about 1,000 baht per hour. You can also spend 7000 baht to have a private lane if you do not want to be disturbed by other riders.

Patong is known as the city that doesn’t sleep. The nightlife here is extremely vibrant and never ending. At Patong, the night is always as bustling as the day. The streets of many restaurants, hotels, bars and souvenir shops are always lit. Shopping at Patong is also a very fun experience as the goods are relatively cheap and diverse. Tourists coming to Patong at night usually gather at the two famous streets: Bangla Road and Paradise Road.

The best time to visit Patong beach is from November to April (during the northeast monsoon season) because the water surface is very calm and quiet. From May to October (during the southwest monsoon) the waves become strong and dangerous, not suitable for swimming or sea sports.
