Kari Sach Moan (Cambodian Chicken Curry)
Kari Sach Moan, or Cambodian chicken curry, is a hallmark of the country's cuisine. Let's learn more about this delectable dish in our article below!
Cambodian curry is one of the most popular names in the country's cuisine. Locals usually cook it for special events such as national holidays, weddings, ceremonies, or family gatherings.
Chicken curry is a great combination of chicken, potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, eggplants, coconut milk, lemongrass, and Kroeung (a red/yellow curry paste). The fresh aroma flavor matches the gentle creamy texture of coconut milk, making it a mouth-watering dish.
Kari Sach Moan is said to be similar to Thai curry. They may look somehow identical, but it's less spicy than their Thai counterpart.
Cambodian Chicken Curry
Cambodians also separate the dish into the chicken red curry and chicken yellow curry with the difference in the curry paste. The red Kroeung is made from red chili, while the yellow Kroeung is made from yellow chili which is less spicy than the red version.
