Located in Tran Chau commune, Cat Ba island, which is about 60km from Hai Phong city center. Cat Ba National Park has been recognized as a world biosphere reserve by UNESCO due to the diverse and unique biotic flora and fauna. This is the most protected area of Vietnam which has marine conservation zones, including marine ecosystems, forest ecosystems and mangrove ecosystems and many lagoons, limestone, etc.

Cat Ba National Park with a total area of up to 15200ha, which is the suitable habitat for many types of plants and animals. Including 2,320 plants and animals, of which 282 species of animals live in the forest, 538 species of sea animals, 196 marine fish species, 771 terrestrial plants, 23 species mangrove plants, 75 species of seaweed, 177 species of coral, etc. In addition, Cat Ba National Park also attracts tourists by the value of human history. The archaeological relics found here indicate that people may have lived in this land from 6000 to 7000 years ago.
The best time to visit Cat Ba National Park is from April to October, because at this time the weather in Cat Ba is very pleasant, avoiding the rainy season so that you can enjoy many exciting climbing activities or exploring the natural ecosystems. The Monkey Island
Besides forest ecotourism activities, you can also explore marine ecotourism such as: Van Boi Bay, Lan Ha, Van Ta, Tra Bau and Viet Hai bays, etc. or kayaking to discover the limestone ecosystem, diving, fishing and swimming. Marine ecotourism has about 1313 species with 196 fish species, about 200 species of phytoplankton, 75 species of seaweed and 193 species of coral. There are valuable property that nature has given to Cat Ba National Park.
From Hai Phong City, you go along Tan Vu Bridge to across the sea, then passing Cat Hai Island and Got Harbor, after that get on the bus for about 15 km to reach Cat Ba National Park.
