How to get there
You can either get there by motorbike, car or one-day tour.
Motorbike: Silver waterfall is not far away from Sapa town, so you can rent a motorbike to get there. This beautiful waterfall is nestled next to the national road 4D on the border of Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces, so you can easily find the way to get there. The waterfall is under O Quy Ho pass; you can hear the sound of a waterfall streaming down when you get closer. The rental fee is from 80.000 VND to 120.000 VND per day. The roads in Sapa aren’t in the greatest condition, with potholes and ditches in some areas, so just take it easy and you will have no issues.
Car/taxi: If you are traveling in a group, you can hire a private car or taxi to get there. The price is from 500.000 VND per day.

What to see at the Silver Waterfall
The waterfall: There are two staircases on each side of the waterfall, one is for the way up, and one is for the way down. Standing on the rocky stairwells, not only you can have a closer look at the Waterfall but also get to see the breathtaking, magnificent view of the whole Sapa town around. Then, going down to the foot of the waterfall, you can enjoy the delicacies of Sapa such as baked eggs, forest birds, village pigs, etc.

In 2013, this area was covered by over 15cm thick snow.
Salmon breeding center: Located at the foot of the slope that leads to Thac Bac Waterfall is the salmon breeding center. Coming here, tourists can see how the salmon is raised, the product is processed. Each year, the center publishes tons of salmon products to serve the need of people.
