Morning
Everyone will gather at 08:00 to get ready for a half-day trip around the ancient city of Hue.
Kick off the journey as we hop on a Dragon Boat Trip. Floating through the Perfume River, tourists can immerse in the serene beauty of this city.
Our first destination is Thien Mu Pagoda - a hundred year-old Buddhist temple which is the oldest temple in Hue.

Then, be captivated by the breathtaking architecture and the serene ambience surroundings that grace the expansive Imperial Citadel, the former residence of the Nguyen emperors - the last journey of the feudal period in Vietnam. Immerse in the old-aged stories by the tour guide while wandering around, it opens in your mind much more insights of this charming Hue city.

Finally, make a quick pause at Dong Ba Market - the biggest traditional trading hub in Hue, for a shopping opportunity. At Dong Ba, your group not only can purchase interesting souvenirs but also gain insight into the daily business practices of local sellers.
Also, tasting street food at the market is an absolute must-try experience. So, make sure you have a little time for that.
Afternoon
The afternoon is free for you to discover Hue on your own. If you’d like to make the most of your time, we offer a selection of optional tours carefully designed to enrich your journey.
Option 1: Authentic home dining
Spend the late afternoon exploring a charming ancient village just outside Hue. Enjoy a scenic countryside drive before taking a leisurely walk through rice fields, flower gardens, and quiet lanes. Along the way, you may stop at local handicraft workshops or hidden temples, with plenty of opportunities to capture the beauty of rural life at sunset.
You will then be welcomed into a traditional ancient house, where you’ll learn about family traditions and the lifestyle of the villagers. Join the hosts in preparing a home-cooked dinner, featuring Hue specialties and seasonal dishes, before sitting down to enjoy the meal together in a warm, family-style atmosphere.
To conclude the evening, relax with a soothing herbal foot bath made from garden plants—a simple yet special local tradition.
Option 2: Hue Evening Foodie Cyclo Tour
Hop on a traditional cyclo and begin your evening food journey through the heart of Hue. The tour starts with a visit to a local eatery to sample Hue’s signature cakes, including the famous bloating fern-shaped cake, soft and flavorful with shrimp paste, fried onions, and fish sauce. You’ll also taste the delicious flat rice dumpling and the savory shrimp and pork dumpling cake, both iconic dishes of the city.
Continue the experience with a crispy Vietnamese pancake and grilled pork skewers, guided by your tour leader on how best to enjoy them for the full flavor. No food tour in Hue would be complete without the legendary Hue beef noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue), rich and fragrant with its signature broth.
To end the evening, indulge in Hue’s famous sweet soup (Che) at a long-standing local shop. With over a hundred varieties, colorful ingredients, and a mix of textures, it’s the perfect sweet treat to conclude your culinary adventure. After the tour, you’ll be dropped back at your meeting point in the city center.

In Hue, we only stayed for 2 nights, but it was nice. The hotel is in a good spot and the food is yummy. Our tour guide took us to a good local restaurant for dinner.
In Hoi An, we had a tasty lunch at the hotel.
The trips to My Son and Hoi An Old Town were fun. We even got to see a bit of Danang from the bus.

It was a great relief to not have to purchase tickets for every venue we visited and to have all services prearranged. We were greeted by he guide right at the airport in Da Nang, and we were grateful for his assistance in replacing our damaged suitcase and transferring funds. We received wonderful accommodations and upgrades at every hotel we reserved with Best Price. We went to the My Son Sanctuary in Hue, Hoi An. And we accomplished a lot of attractions in a single day. The drivers and tour guides were really kind and informed. They also gave us cold mineral water and took some incredible pictures of us. The tours were join-in btw. Less
