Morning
After an early pickup, travel about 25 minutes to Ta Brak Village for an authentic glimpse into rural Cambodian life.
Enjoy a packed Western-style breakfast provided by your hotel while visiting a local family—an excellent opportunity to learn about daily life in the village.
Continue with a traditional ox cart ride (approximately 30 minutes) to a nearby local market, where you can observe everyday trading and explore local produce.

Then, take a short walk (about 0.6 miles / 1 km) through scenic countryside filled with rice paddies and sugar palm trees. Along the way, you may have the chance to interact with villagers and take part in seasonal activities such as rice planting, weaving, or crafting fish traps.
Conclude the morning at a local pagoda, where your family will receive a traditional water blessing from Buddhist monks—a meaningful cultural experience.
Afternoon
In the afternoon, visit Bakong Temple, a 9th-century temple and an important site of early Khmer civilization.
Next, continue to Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve. From here, take a boat trip to Kampong Phluk, a traditional floating village known for its stilt houses and flooded mangrove forest.

Cruise through the waterways to observe daily life on the water, including floating homes and fishing communities, offering a unique and immersive perspective of local living.
Enjoy a home-hosted meal in one of the floating houses before returning to Siem Reap.
NOTE: Due to low water levels during the dry season, boat trips are only possible from June to March. However, an alternative floating village at Chong Kneas can be arranged instead.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Hotel in Siem Reap

Having traveled to over 60 countries, my wife and I seek out unique experiences—places and activities far from the usual path—and we demand complete flexibility. Janet delivered exactly that.
From the very start, she worked closely with us to tailor the trip to our preferences, accommodating every change we made—even those right before departure and during the journey itself. She was always available, day or night, ensuring that everything ran smoothly.
When a typhoon unexpectedly forced us to cut a cruise short, Janet had already arranged an alternative plan before we even had time to worry. Her responsiveness, professionalism, and understanding of what seasoned travelers truly want made all the difference.
If you're looking for a travel agent in Vietnam and Cambodia who genuinely listens, adapts, and goes above and beyond to ensure your trip is exactly what you envisioned, I can't recommend Janet highly enough. Less

The food and drinks throughout were excellent — no complaints there at all. Every meal was delicious, and we loved getting to try so many local dishes.
In terms of guides, we had some really great ones. The guide in Hanoi was especially welcoming, even though our flight arrived late. In Hoi An, we had mixed experiences. The guides for the My Son sanctuary and the countryside farm tour were absolutely outstanding — Sherlock brought a lot of humor and energy, and Thuy Tran was so kind and thoughtful. On the other hand, the city tour guide felt a bit disengaged. But we had a wonderful driver on the way to Hue who happily took a detour for us to visit Marble Mountain, which was a great stop and something we think should be included by default.
Tina, our guide in Ho Chi Minh, was fantastic — she went above and beyond to show us an extra site and made everything feel really personal and engaging.
The Halong Bay cruise was a highlight in some ways — the boat and crew were lovely — but we were a little disappointed that the caves weren’t part of the itinerary. We’d also suggest cleaner kayaking spots in the future, since the water in our area wasn’t the best.
Hotel-wise, everything went smoothly, although the room in Hue was smaller than expected despite the hotel itself being nice and well located.
We also want to mention two things for future travelers. First, we really enjoyed Marble Mountain and think it’s worth adding as a regular stop — no guide needed, just some time to explore. Second, on our free day in Siem Reap, we managed to visit Beng Mealea, Kulen Mountain, and Banteay Srei — all in one day, comfortably. Even though we were told it would take two days, we found it very doable, and it turned out to be one of our favorite days.
All in all, it was a great adventure. Thank you again for putting this together — we’ll definitely be recommending BestPrice Travel to our friends and family! Less
Thank you so much for your great service and attentiveness and very fast responses that make me feel super assured during the whole process. The itinerary planned has also been great and a surprise because we thought tours would be cliché, but no this was just delightful.
