I believe his name was Le or Lee, and he was very informative and spoke good English. It would perhaps be better to see more interesting sites, such as Mausoleum or Hanoi Prison or Fine Arts Museum, rather than back streets, or the dirty pond with the remains of American bomb in it.
Guide in Saigon: I believe his name was Bach, and he was very helpful and enthusiastic, and spoke excellent English.
All other guides I had spoke poor English, even though they have been licensed in Vietnam to give tours in English. Their understanding of my questions in English were poor and often misunderstood, and their accent and pronunciation or use of grammar and wording was poor enough to make understanding their information very difficult. It was not a severe problem, as I can always look up the information online, however, it was frustrating not being able to obtain timely information at the point of interest. I would also recommend that the guide in Angkor Wat, who also spoke poor English, be advised not to give lengthy lectures to clients while obligating them to sit outside and beyond an area of interest for an inordinate period of time, as he was prone to do at the site of this temple and others in the Siem Reap area. As tourists, we had very limited time at this site and didn't want to be held back from entrance to the temple while standing way beyond the temple entrance site to listen to his lecture, which was nearly incomprehensible anyway. Am happy to listen to information while within the site and being allowed to view the structures and take pictures, but am not interested in being forced to listen to lectures as if I was a student in a school room.
I loved the tour provided by Heaven and Earth bicycle rides in Hoi An, which was a lovely way to see the pretty countryside and villages, and the guide was excellent and spoke excellent English. I would recommend this tour to your clients who want to get away from the crowded and chaotic city.
I loved the Mai Chau tour, as the scenery was beautiful and the hotel accommodations and food were excellent. The tour guide spoke poor English but was very caring and sweet and made sure I did not fall on the walking tour, which I greatly appreciated.
On September 19 in Siem Reap, I was taken to a restaurant where the food served was not the food mentioned on the menu given to me. The food was not up to the quality of the rest of the meals I had been served previously on the tour.
Thank you, very much Tina, for helping me arrange the Paradise Cave tour and the Heaven and Earth tours after my original tours had been cancelled by the flooding --- that was very kind of you.
I would mention to your clients that the hotel in Hoi An, Le Pavillion, does not have elevators. I did not think to ask, as it never occurred to me that clients would be placed in a 3rd floor room when there were no elevators, but it is a problem for trying to lift luggage up the multiple steps and get up and down to go on tours.
I would also mention that the hotel in Siem Reap, Treasure Oasis, had the pump to the water supply in my room turn off at 9PM one evening while I was staying there. I had been up since 3AM the previous day due to early morning tours, and was exhausted, and did not want to deal with having no water in my room, or trying to speak to reception desk where no one at the hour spoke English, and the attendant who came to my room spoke no English, and I really didn't want any strangers in my room at that hour when I just wanted to sleep and not deal with problems that should not be occurring in that hotel. Thereafter, the water in the sink and bathtub ran dirty brown. I was not offered an apology or room change.
Overall, I enjoyed the tour, and appreciate the attention to detail and caring for your customers that Best Price Travel offered. I would suggest offering clients more tours to beautiful green countryside areas, rather than Saigon or Dong Hoi. I know I did not feel safe walking in Saigon, and it is dangerous, especially for older people, trying to dodge broken sidewalk pavement, sidewalk street vendors, multitude of parked scooters, and scooters driving on the sidewalk to escape traffic. I gave up trying to go shopping as had been hit by a scooter in Hue and was afraid of being hit again, especially in Saigon.
Thank you again for all your help with this tour, Tina. It was a memorable experience, and there were many areas of Vietnam and Cambodia that were stunningly beautiful, and most Vietnamese people were very kind and welcoming.

Moved on to the ancient imperial city of Hue for a one day city tour with "Xi" a charming and Knowledgeable local guide. A free day allowed me to check with Vana Pham at Best Price to schedule a trip to the former DMZ and KheSan. This was short notice, but well done at an extremely reasonable additional price.
Next was the seaside fishing / resort of Hoi An with its colorful waterfront and markets.
A flight to Ho Chi Minh City for a city tour including the former presidential palace, now the Reunification Museum. The next day took me to Can Tho with its famous Floating Market and a wonderful lunch of freshly grilled fish.
Back to HCMC for two more free days. I contaced Vana Pham again and quickly arranged a tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels. Once again at a very reasonable price.
All-in-all this was a great tour which Vana Pham organized perfectly.

I enjoyed each place we visited with interesting and beautiful sights to see. The hotels we stayed at were lovely and perfectly situated.
We appreciated having so many private tours and each one of our guides were absolutely fantastic. The two that were outstanding were our first one ,My, in Ho Chi Minh and the Mekong Delta. She was fabulous. Professional informative and very personal. We formed a special bond with her and were sad to say goodbye.
The other one was Tom in Hanoi and he and the driver Green took us to Mai Chau.
Green was our best driver. He drove very carefully and he had a great sense of humor. We had good laughs with him. We bonded easily and quickly with Tom. He educated us with lots of information about your country and the area we were in. He took extra special care of us making sure we had enough food drinks and snacks. He made sure we tasted exciting food of that area. When we returned to Hanoi he took us on a street food tour. It was delicious and exciting. We really experienced another side of Hanoi that I’m sure tourists don’t often get to see. It was our last day in your country and it was wonderful.
