Best Price coordinates with various independent tour guides, drivers, and transport companies. We didn't have much direct contact with Best Price during our stay, but we were well taken care of. Sometimes we were unsure about the next day's plans, but we always got the information we needed a few hours before.
We chose the 4-star package and stayed in nice hotels with good breakfasts. Lunches ranged from fancy restaurant meals to simple, tasty dishes. No complaints there.
The tour guides were generally very good. We didn't pay for a private tour but ended up with a guide to ourselves on three days. One day, we spent several hours waiting in an uncomfortable café, and the guide that afternoon didn't speak much English. Other than that, we were happy with the guides.
There was a lot of coach travel on this tour, but the buses were comfortable and air-conditioned. For the last two days, we were handed over to a cruise boat company for the visit to Halong Bay. The cruise was a bit too packed with activities; a three-day cruise might be better if your budget allows.
Overall, it wasn't perfect, but we were generally pleased with the Best Price package. This is an active holiday, great for those who enjoy hiking and cycling. Vietnam is a hot country, and March was a great time to visit, with warm temperatures and the countryside looking beautiful with freshly planted rice. Less

We actually had several problems regarding languages, flights, and accommodations when we first came to Vietnam on our own. Then my wife and I decided to search for a week-long tour to enjoy our honeymoon. And it was fantastic! I changed my mind about Vietnam right away.
Khanh was our tour guide in the first few days and made us fall in love with Vietnam. She knew every alley in Hanoi and guided us through a lot of great sidewalk restaurants in Hanoi. We learned to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city and cross the crazy streets here, thanks to Khanh. We had a lot of fun in Hanoi.
Getting away from the city and enjoying a change of pace is a really exciting experience. We visited Ninh Binh and found peace of mind here. We cruised across a calming river and took a lot of stunning portraits of our own. Cycling through golden rice fields was top-notch. At the end of the day, we still had a lot of time to sit back and relax before getting to other places.
Kayaking, swimming, discovering the biggest caves in Halong Bay were also eye-opening experiences, although this was the second time we visited the bay. Everything was different when we packed on this trip, it allowed us to explore Vietnam in a more authentic and insightful way.
Hoi An and Danang were great places to join in activities that are tailored for couples. We had some traditional handicraft workshops and explored the town on bikes. Overall, the tour gives us an unforgettable experience in Vietnam.
