A riverside district
Chau Thanh does not possess the economic advantage for a sea fishing or fish farming like other Mekong delta districts, but is in no lack of natural landscapes made up from seemingly endless riverside with layers of coconut trees as well as charming and lush orchards. Visitors come here will be rewarded with a tranquil panorama from Tien river, along with the heavy sways of the rows on a local boat and passing houses with thatched roofs, nestled on the river banks and under the lush green coconuts.

With various attractions
One of the most famous attractions in Chau Thanh is Con Phung Island, which is known as the holy land of Coconut Religion. The island also the place of coconut handicrafts, where visitors can see not only the unique architecture left behind from Coconut congregation but also various items made by coconut. Visitors can also witness the production of honey from longan flowers at Chau Thanh district, tasting delicious organic fruits picked straight from gardens, participating in making coconut candy or rice cake, etc. from Con Qui Island, Con Tien Island, Tan Phu, etc.
