Da Nang Airport

Despite being the third-largest airport in Vietnam after Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) and Noi Bai International Airport (HAN), it is much lesser in terms of size and arrivals. The Danang International Airport was built in 1940 and operated as a major military post until 1975 when Vietnam was reunited. The old airport base was decommissioned in December 2011 and replaced with a brand modern structure nearby. The newly opened terminal, which features modern facilities and a more convenient location as well as a comprehensive range of airport services, including a number of shopping areas and dining options, has revolutionized the way tourists are welcomed into Danang. Not only the appearance of Danang International Airport's but also its services has been greatly improved.

Da Nang Airport Terminal

Domestic Terminal T1 and International Terminal T2 are the airport’s two terminals. The ultramodern international terminal, which is located north of the domestic terminal, has been in operation since 2017.

T1: Domestic Terminal

The domestic terminal is divided into three stories, with the center floor reserved for airline offices. Arrivals are located on the ground floor, along with some restricted amenities such as cafes, SIM card services, and money exchanges. Check-in counters, security checks, and departure gates make up the upper level. This is accessible through a lift from the parking lot and a drive-through drop-off.

Cafes, boutiques, and restaurants are gradually being built at the domestic terminal. However, there are plenty of places to grab a drink or a bite to eat. Especially since the hour-and-a-half flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City is the longest domestic trip.

Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, VASCO, and Jetstar Pacific are the airlines that fly in and out of the Domestic terminal. Domestic flights to the larger cities of Hano, Ho Chi Minh City, and Nha Trang are the most popular.

T2: International Terminal

The International Terminal in Da Nang is a four-level facility that is regarded as one of the best in Vietnam. Baggage claim, arrival and immigration, visa on arrival, customs, gates, gate lounges, and lost & found are all located on the ground floor. In addition, there are certain services available such as SIM card services, restaurants, and souvenir shops.

The arrival halls and gate lounges are located on the second floor. The third section is departures, which has 44 check-in counters, immigration, customs, and security checks. The lounges, which include the green lounge and the CIP orchid lounge, are located on the fourth floor. On the first three levels, there are baby changing facilities and restrooms.

Seoul – Danang (Korean Air and Asiana Airlines), Guangzhou – Danang (China Southern Airlines), and Singapore – Danang (Singapore Airlines) are among the international flights available, particularly from Southeast Asia and East Asia (SilkAir). More flights from popular destinations in adjacent territories such as Hong Kong, Japan, and Thailand are likely to arrive at the airport in the near future.
