Sein Yaung Chi Pagoda

Sein Yaung Chi Pagoda is located on the Shwedagon Pagoda Road to the south of the grand Shwedagon Pagoda. So, you can visit it while traveling upto the grand Shwedagon Pagoda. It is not very well-known but well-worth a visit.

The beautiful Sein Yaung Chi Pagoda has a wonderful nickname signifying a special quality in the structure. It is also fondly known as the ‘Diamond Reflections’ because the green tiles and mirrored scales covering the body of the structure of the pagoda reflect the sunlight. This makes the pagoda look stunning during the day. The glass motif which adorns the building on the outside also extends inside the pagoda where several small and medium sized Buddha images keep a watchful eye.

The inside is very quiet and has multiple Buddhas and the usual offering facilities. It is a very quiet place for meditating and the sound of the small birds that inhabit it, add a very peaceful touch.
