Suoi Do Pagoda

Suoi Do Pagoda Overview

  • Address: Suoi Hiep, Dien Khanh District, Nha Trang
  • Opening Hours: 06:00 - 18:00

As one of the must-see attractions for pilgrims who travel to Nha Trang, Suoi Do Pagoda is a Buddhist temple more than 50 years old, dedicated to Quan Am Goddess - the symbol of tenderness and mercy. Laying on the top of a mountain in Suoi Hiep Commune, the temple will bring you a relaxing atmosphere of its peaceful vibe, fresh air, and beautiful nature.

It’s believed that a young lady declared that she saw the goddess when hanging out with her friends near a stream that flows down to the mountain foot. Then local people here built the Suoi Do Pagoda to worship the Quan Am Goddess, and this temple has been still maintained til now.

Since the location of Suoi Do Pagoda is on the top of the mountain, you will have to climb about 200 steps to go to the temple. Once you reach the temple, an amazing view of the lush mountainous area, clear blue sky, and banana plantations will welcome you, carrying tranquility to your soul. However, the temple only has a long staircase from the foot to the peak of the mountain with no escalator or elevator lift, it will be inconvenient for disabled people who use wheelchairs to move.

Notes:

  • Since the Suoi Do Pagoda is a sacred place, you should dress appropriately in clothes that cover your shoulders and knees.
  • Avoid making too much noise when you are inside the Suoi Do Pagoda, since it will ruin the serene vibe of the temple and distract the Biddhist monks who are living in this.

Best Time To Visit Suoi Do Pagoda
