Recently the province has quickly developed a name for ecotourism as well as community-based tourism with its endowed natural and cultural richness.

Overview
Hoa Binh is one of most beautiful mountain provinces that is closer to Hanoi capital and accessible along No.6 National Highway or Thang Long Highway. Its geographical characteristics may cause difficulties in developing infrastructure and economy, but on the other hand could be seen as a blessing for tourism. For ecotourism, Hoa Binh’s mountains, green valleys, primitive forests with numerous fanciful caves and streams offer visitors adventurous hiking, trekking, or even for healthy hot spring bath.

Not just in no lack of natural beauty, the province has more than 200 historical relics and landscapes, of which 64 have been recognized as national relics. For community-based tourism, there are villages of Muong ethnic group and various ethnic minorities such as Thai, Yao, Tay and Hmong. Now, more than 50 ethnic villages within Hoa Binh are available to visitors both from inside and outside Vietnam such as Lac Village, Pom Coong Village, Muong Village, etc.
